Well just keep in mind if in case IRCC ask for latest Income proof then you will need to provide and you will need to update the family size. But you can add your wife as cosigner also if you think your income will not be sufficient for one extra member in LICO. Her Employment insurance is also counted as Income when she will have maternity leave.
Thats right. But have a look at form 5748 as well which tells you to deduct the EI income and other Income Benefits from Line 150. Double check. If possible, do not go on EI. On the other hand, if you are on maternity, you are adding another family member to the Family size. Or maybe two or three. It could be twins or triplets. Plan ahead, whatever you decide.

In my case, what I did was also suggested by IRCC on twitter.
That if you do not have last name, put your last name in given name and check the box for given name.

For typo errors, If it would be a minor mistake they might consider it but if someone just checked all the boxes to not provide given name (even though they have one) and dobs to be faster than others, then I am pretty sure they will reject that.
We can not say I forgot to put my given name or I forgot DOB at the time of EOI and now I have it.
We are not talking forget to put given name . Why don’t you think that most of people put all details and also select check box then!!! IRCC give us chance to correct it after invitation. That’s it. X mistake will corrected and Y mistake will not corrected it’s your thinking. What I see mistakes will be corrected.
Only attached ID will remain same and we need to send copy of that ID when submitting application.

Ok
So someone just intentionally put wrong name?
That will be corrected you think?
Lets say name is “calgary” and they put “toronto”
Is that going to be corrected?
Or something like “calgary” and “calary” which is a genuine mistake.

Only then i mentioned you that my case is different and I don’t really know how they will handle other mistakes.
I am not sure what are you trying to point.

intentionally!!!!!
Most of people put correct name / enter all details in data of birth and selected checkbox that is called mistake .
Mistake will corrected . That’s all .
You cannot put weight on mistake like this is big mistake and other is small mistake .
Many people don’t know what they put as no chance or time to review it.
Mistake will be corrected that’s it.

If they put name and selected check box
That means they were in rush, ok. May be that could be accepted.
What about putting “calgary” when the name is “toronto”

If a form is full of mistakes, and They accept it with explanations, they will be contradicting their own statement that advised people to READ carefully the form. And it will be unfair for people who double checked everything and lost extra time and moreover some people even lost chance to submit the form just because they checked everything twice.

What they meant by you can submit correct information later with “proof of changes” , i think that is if you change your name or address in between the form submission and application.
But also they might accept few other mistakes, as country of residence, by mistake people selected their home countries.
May be a digit here and there in DOB.
Some typo mistake in name etc.
Its totally upto IRCC what they consider is a mistake.

But if someone just put everything wrong and just a couple of things right, I don’t know if they will accept explanations for that.

Well, Lets not argue and not be firm on “our speculations” by saying this is going to happen and thats it.
IRCC knows better how will they handle it.!

Good Luck.

Ok so just to be clear, EI maternity leave pay is not considered as an income then that can be added to LICO?

I may not have added full information if EI for maternity leave can be claimed for Income in purpose of sponsorship. Although EI for maternity is Counted as Income because you need to pay tax for EI also. But please make clarification by calling CIC or anyone senior in this forum can advise on this.
While looking to following forum it looks like you can use Parental leave EI as income source. Please confirm it before taking any action.
