Will they refund the biometric fees for those of us whose parents are in Canada?

They should, but who knows when. Or maybe the applicants currently living in Canada will be asked to do biometrics after the services are available in Canada. It is not a lot of money anyways. I am not too concerned.

That was my understanding too but @gigab mentioned on the post that there is a way to apply but but for stamping u may leave canada and come back to get stamped.
Hi sorry for the late reply.
I needed to verify with my mom her trips outside Canada.. and I was confused she did go out, I prepared all documents for her then she left Canada that same day she arrived she sent the application and waited for passport request, then she took the passports to a VAC office. It took like 3 weeks.. it was a fast process..
Hope this helps .

Did anyone's ecas changed today from "Application Received" to "In Progress" ? Looks like "In Progress" is only up to 3rd May.
File received on April 26th still in application received
I don’t know what they are doing , this is just crazy

With all these biometrics request; when did these people submit their applications? Late April, early May 2019?
It doesn’t matter, the whole processing is random. My application was received on April 26th , quite literally the first day they could be received and there’s no updates on it

Surprisingly they have stopped processing any application beyond May 1st onwards.
Mine is April 26th and no progress, the whole processing order is random, it’s like when they reach the mail room they throw them in the air and whatever reaches a table is processed and the others are left to gather dust

It is anything but random. The eCas date is on May 13th.

Yes there are some cases out of trend, but there is still a trend going on based of application delivery date.

Think this way, when they refund, it's official that we don't need to do biometrics at all. Until then, be prepared that it'll be required later.

It is not random diegosolano, some people have been requested for missing documents etc and they did not see any progress or any update on eCAS as all but behind the scene it is still being processed. What status you see on eCAS? Is it only Application Received?

Nobody promised it wasn’t going to be random only that the order of applications selected would be determined by the EOI. It does seem like those who submitted early are being processed faster than those who submitted later. It is a mail room with stacks of applications that they are processed in batches as they come in.

Great, I'm the May 15th one.

What info did you use to link the application? I haven't received the PA's UCI # and not sure if DOB and First/Last name would work?
@YULIA-2016

Update of status

Line 136

Application received 13 of May
ECAS available - 6 July

MyAccount linked, Status: Application Submitted - in progress

@YULIYA-2016, What is the email address to contact IRCC regarding PGP program. Thanks

My father got letter to submit Military job history which is as follows

Military Records: Please provide a Complete the Details of Military Service [IMM 5546] for you or your family member who held a high ranking/senior official government position or served in the military, army, defence or police unit, (including National Service). Additionally, please submit a copy of the military card/booklet, including blank pages, if applicable.

He cannot remember all his serving details (asked in IMM 5546) as he got transferred from one location to another during his 30 years of military service. neither do he remembers all his supervisor's name. He did not serve as a high ranking official. He or his unit was never involved in any direct or indirect combat related activities.

Does he need to submit IMM 5546?
If not, can anyone please provide/point to a generic explanation letter that we can use as a reply?

Thanks!
