Got a pdf in mycic just now asking for biometric, the letter says must do it before going to Canada but my parents are on the flight to Canada now, not sure what to do now :( They only give 30 days from the letter to get it done and flight cost over 2K not to mentioned my parents are not healthy to take so many long flights in short time, I am so upset with IRCC policy on this biometric requirements! Why can't we do it inside Canada!!!
Please keep us posted of your biometric experience as yours is one of the earliest cases and we will learn from your experience. My parents are coming here early next month on VV and I am also concerned about the biometrics issue. Thanks

You need to wait until medical is requested. Your mother can do the medical in any country.
I'm just wondering how appropriate this might seem to you. Do you think or envisaging I did ask the question without medicals requested from my mum? I'm not that impatient boss....All I need now is every form of solution on how to get an appointment for my mum medical but this from you

Hi see below what I found after I linked my parents permanent resident application. It shows that they don't need medical or biometric?! See below. Is that right?

Details about your application status
When we get your application, there are a series of steps it may go through before we make a decision. Use the following table to find out the current status of each application step.

Review of eligibilityHelp - Review of eligibility
  • Your application is in progress. We will send you a message when we start reviewing your eligibility.
Review of medical resultsHelp - Review of medical results
  • You do not need a medical exam. We will send you a message if this changes.
Review of additional documentsHelp - Review of additional documents
  • We do not need additional documents.
InterviewHelp - Interview
  • You do not need an interview. We will send you a message if this changes.
BiometricsHelp - Biometrics
  • We do not need your fingerprints. We will send you a message if this changes.
Background checkHelp - Background check
  • We are processing your background check. We will send you a message if we need more information.
Final decisionHelp - Final decision
  • Your application is in progress. We will send you a message once the final decision has been made.
This is their general format. Everyone who linked their application had/have almost same message. Under review of eligibility, it says they will send you a message when they start reviewing your eligibility. Which means they haven't even started processing PA file

I got a letter said my file was incomplete because of missing marriage certificate. Is it because of this so I can’t check anything online by using my uci?

Hi,

I just got an email that my application is incomplete. Below is the reason.
IMM 5669 (for Dependent): The Schedule A (IMM 5669) is missing a handwritten signature. Although the current form states that an electronic signature is acceptable, due to legislation changes as of May 22nd, 2018, a handwritten signature is required for this form. Please provide a newly completed Schedule A (IMM 5669) and ensure that you sign the form by hand once printed. https://www.canada.ca/content/dam/ircc/migration/ircc/english/pdf/kits/forms/eimm5669e.pdf

I have to submit this for my both parents with in 30 calendar days.

@YULIA-2016
Please update line 61 with username sri82@av.

Thanks,
Sri.
Many people are in the same boat like you, deapite it was clearly mentioned in the doc checklist and the guide.

Then either you will have to check the other city's hospital or will have to inform CIC and ask for extension.

Not sure what your issue is. I am pointing out that you are supposed to wait to receive a request for a medical and you can do the medical elsewhere if your parent will be out of the country. You’re the one who needs to relax.

Based on tracker, I would say yes, this is the reason you don't see ecas or myCIC because your file number has not yet been marked as complete. There are other cases like you where people in early May still do not have ecas available and are now requested to provide corrected forms etc.

Anyone knows when did IRCC start requesting biometrics for any type of visa, I mean in which year they introduced this system.

Last year. For e.g some countries were exempted till 31st Dc 2018 and starting 01st Jan 2019, biometrics were required.
