Hello Friends,

One thing I do not understand. How doe people can check status on eCAS.? I sent my application but have not received any mail or any acknowledgement yet.

People say the updates on CIC web portal is real time. But not sure how they see those status.?

I think the first step is to receive an acknowledgement mail from CIC. AM I right?

Thanks for response in Advance.

Job Offer........
Pre-Assessed..
Please help. I have been trying to sponsor my mother for last 5 years and this year thought was lucky toreceive the invite. I sent the docs on june 24 with 1 day priority shipping with canada post. However at the end of june 26th package is no where to be found. No response from canada post. Does anyone know the physical address where fed ex other courier companies can do overnight delivery. I reached out to fedex and ups and after looking at theaddress they declined the delivery. I am just too numb and close to a complete breakdown .. any suggestion is welcome. I even considered taking a flight to Ottawa from Vancouver whicj ican only reach by 3.00 pm so may not work

I also sent Over night and it took 6 days from June 12 and received on June 18. Although, my assumption is that package is already at the center but no update on Canada Post.

So you should expect to see status change around 6 days. I am sure it is on its way. This situation is the same as mine. Do not send another package.

Make sure you document everything including receipt, chatting scripts with Canada Post, just in case your package arrives after June 28.

There is no point flying there as your package will not be accepted by hand deliver by you. All you can do now is to wait. Your status of delivery will be updated either today, Friday or Tuesday.

Re-posting my comments as I am assuming many people will put it priority overnight today:

Priority shipment tracking does not shows update properly for the PGP address. It was reported in this thread before. Though the mail actually delivered the follow day, due to the shipping location (PO Box) and the arrangement of CIC to pick up the bulk mails (as oppose to signed by an SCI agent when delivered by Xpress post), the tracking got delayed. It was reported people actually see a movement in the tracking after 5-6 days though the mail was already delivered.

Browsing through the IRCC twitter account, posting some of the recent interesting Q&A (answers are in color):

Hi, what is the user name on twitter for the IRCC, ?

Thank you

For sponsor parent application, I noticed that 3 forms was updated . However I already submitted my application early in June. Should I resend those updated forms? Will the June 28 deadline apply to the outdated form?

As long as you are using forms from the PGP 2019 application kit, we will not return an application because of the application form updates.
27th June 2019

Given the number of valid interest to sponsor forms we have, we don’t expect to open the form again this year. Stay tuned via our website and social media channels for updates on PGP.
21th June 2019

I have received a reminder email from CIC today to submit PGP sponsorship application before june30th 2019 deadline. I had submitted PGP application in May 2019. Have they not received my application & should I resubmit the complete application package again?
We sent this email to everyone who received an invitation to apply to sponsor a parent or grandparent. If you already submitted your PGP application, you may disregard the reminder message.

I do not have any AoR or confirmation from CIC about the receipt of my sponsorship application, should I resend the whole package or when can I expect to receive AOR?
Please wait for a response from IRCC. If we find your application complete, we’ll send you an Acknowledgement of Receipt (AoR) letter. How long this takes depends on how many applications we get, and if your application is complete.

1.are SCI Martin is ur application receiving partners??
SCI is a company that works to scan and sort applications for our processing centres. When this shows up within your tracking information, the parcel is likely received by IRCC. As long as you are using forms from the PGP 2019 application kit,

2. I used imm papers from application package in may but recently there are few updated forms in June . Hope this is okay??
We will not return an application because of the application form updates.

So I was able to link application in myCIC today.
I called CIC to get Application Number and UCI(Parents never had UCI).

For some reason I was not able to search application with "Place of Birth" Criteria. But it worked with "passport" details criteria.
I recommend people whose application was received by May 9 can follow this.

@YULIA-2016 : Please update for me in sheet.

No it’s not true. Going to US and coming back does not give extension. We had applied for my mom’s extension and then went to US by road for 2 nights. We were stopped by CBSa and they were bit rude and sent us to secondary. The said we can get extension only if it is return from home country. They gave warning but allowed us entry. @Vic R, your mom already has extension so it may be different but check with CBSA not CIC.
That's supposed to be the case, only return to home country. Again, it's up to the CBSA agents. I've heard people went to Cuba and returned with a new validity of staying. From my personal experience, MIL went to Mexico with us for a week and got her staying extended for another two years at YVR (super visa). On the other hand, last year she went back to home country for a month, upon returning, the validity wasn't extended (same airport, same super visa).

Hi thanks for the suggestions, i did call CIC and they told me as long as she has valid super visa she can re-enter Canada and in fact even if TRV is expired however if you have extended stay permission you can return from US.

i asked cic agent to confirm in mail.

the paragraphs states

Re-entry

While you are in Canada, your TRV may expire. This has no effect on the validity and duration of your stay. However, if you plan on leaving and returning to Canada, you are required to obtain a new TRV. As an exception, you do not have to obtain a new TRV if you are returning to Canada after travelling only to the United States* and/or St.Pierre and Miquelon by the end of the period initially authorized for your stay or any extension to it.

so i hope with this assurance we can drive to US.
