returned = refused and refund fee, so it is done. They can ACCEPT but then send a request then have 30 days
Once again dont mix CIC definitions.
For the fees, you can ask for refund anytime IF they have not started your application yet.
Read posts in 2018, some guys got returned application then resubmitted successfully. I got returned my pr application due to credit card 3 yrs ago. I resubmitted then they accepted

Why do i need birth certificate of both parents? I cant see this requirement in checklist....in the checklist its written that birth certificate of parent is required only i i am applying for my grandparents!

Secondly If birth certificate of my parents is not available? what can we do? really appreciate your help.
You DON'T need your parents birth certificate when sponsoring your parents. It is required when you sponsor your grandparents.

Has anyone received acknowledgement from CIC who has file received on May 9 or 10th?
This is incredibly random and I think only around 5 people have gotten it with various received dates, my application was received on April 26th, quite literally the first possible day to receive a complete application and we still don't have an AOR
I can see it on ECAS (application received) and linked it on GCkey (with a file number starting with F) though, but other than that we are all in the dark

Hi -

my dad is the principal applicant. using his visa # and data of birth, i can see that the it shows "application received". using the same info for my mom, i can still log in to ECAS, but it doesn't show the same "application received", even though i can still see her name.

is this normal? is that just because my dad is the principal applicant and the package only shows under his name?

Thanks

Hey guys - thank you for sharing all of this info! I just realized that instead of writing down $60,XXX in one of my Financial Evaluation years I put down $62,XXX by mistake. However, I checked down the part to allow CIC to review my taxes from CRA. Based on your experience would you recommend to send a notification about this mistake? CIC received the documents on June 11.

Thanks,
