Parents and Grandparents Sponsorship 2019

Hello All,

My parents don't have home country passports at this moment. They already applied for those, but it's taking long to process and the deadline for PGP application is 28 June 2019. Can they apply without passport for permanent residence? In that case, how they can update the passport information later when the passports are available?

I think you should go through the application guide carefully, it gives step by step guidance to fill the forms.

Also, write an explanation letter mentioning that your parents new passport application is in process.
With the explanation letter, attach the proof of application for new passport e.g. payment receipt, online application status screenshot, etc.

Once you receive a file number for your parents sponsorship application, you will be able to send copies of new passport to IRCC.

In the application package, make sure you place your explanation letter right after the invitation letter (ITA).

Guys I read in the other threads that IRCC is very strict for their Birth Certificate requirement (sponsor’s birth certificate as a proof of relationship with parents), I am very worried because I don’t have one. Can someone please assure me that other docs. like school certificate, old passport, voter card can use be used as an alternate? It’s a high time and after such a long wait I don’t want to take any chance. Please advice.

Need suggestion from Expert or someone who has gone through this situation please.

Here I have to prove my relationship with my parents and for that they are looking for birth certificate as mentioned on the checklist.

I don’t have one and never required in any situation in my life before.

What are the alternate proofs I can provide without getting any problem in the process.

Provide them ur grade 10 certificate I did same last year when they ask from my wife she don’t have birth certificate grade 10 also shows parents name and dob on it if u r from India.

Can anyone clarify on Form IMM 5768 for the following:

"number of persons included in previous undertakings you co-signed, where the undertakings are still in effect"

Does this include someone where you agreed to help sponsor a refugee as part of a Group 5 application? I.E Agreed to help sponsor someone for $5K does this count?

Requesting for solution and suggestion for my stupid mistakes;
1.) Submitted UCI number as my status in canada number in Invitation to apply form but submitted correct copy of PR(Didnot realize that id number on front of PRCard is actually UCI number and actual number is at back of card)
2.) As a representative of My Parents, while filling Imm5406 for both parents, forgot to write all names in Native Language-
What to do now my friends?Seniors and friends plz advise?

Should I wait till I get AOR or send application again??

I have same issue I will wait 15 more days if no aor I will resend application with explanation letter.

Yes it did they got there pr in 7 or 8 months they email us to provide them relation proof we didn’t send birth certificate with file coz we don’t have that time so we send grade 10 which is also have parents name and dob on it

In my opinion, it's best to wait till we get AOR (mid June)as missing to write name in Native language should not be reason to label whole application as incomplete. We can always appeal but it's case to case basis and merely depends on visa officer.Sending application again might delay our original spot.

Affidavit of Parentage signed by your parents is going to help for sure, no need to worry! Also i like the idea of providing other supporting documents such as passport, school passing certificates which state your parents name.

But you will still be required to provide the copy of your birth certificate, even if it doesn't carry your name. If the certificate is in a language other than English, get it translated too.

The only option is CANADA POST, the courier companies can't deliver to PO BOX address. Canada Post delivered my application in 1 day, it costs, but its worth!

I missed that..regretting...my friend just fill it as form says fill in English and in Native language
