In form 1344 question 1 ,
1. Can we select option to continue?
2. And if we selection the option to continue rather than withdraw, do we need to submit any more documents like any additional undertaking etc as per the note below.??
Note: Check “proceed with the application for permanent residence” if you submit an undertaking of assistance to support the permanent residence application of a family member or close relative on Humanitarian and compassionate considerations.

Thnx

Correction here: So I talked to a friend who sent in application on 28 April and he still has not received the eCAS status as "Application Received", he was able to reached the customer service agent last week and was advised that there is nothing to worry about as they are still queuing people for initial processing and status shown as Received in eCAS does not mean that it has been checked for completeness yet. There is nothing to worry about if your eCAS still not showing anything as the agent was able to tell my friend they received the application and that it is simply not been read yet as they received too many at the same time. Rest assure that they timestamp all incoming packages and will process in that order. Sorry for causing false alarm. Happy Victoria day!
Yes they received a large volume of applicants in a few weeks and it will take a while for the department to input all the applications:) A little less than 27000 applications is a lot of paperwork and many were ready to send in their applications during the first weeks.

For the Schedule A form, do you type in the name and then have your parent sign with handwritten signature? The form will not vailidate if I don't type my mom's name in.

Just means that you want to continue even if you don't meet the requirements. Also means you won't get a refund even if you get refused. If you think you meet the requirements you can easily chose option 2. There are no other documents necessary. The application guide doesn't ask for other documents so not sure what the confusion is.

Thanks the confusion was in the wordings of the note in 5772 as below, which sounds like if we choose option 2 we should submit an undertaking of assistance.
