Dear IRCC Officer,

I want to declare that due to the urgency and short time period available to put my parents name in the EOI form, I might have entered the wrong family size in the online EOI form.

My actual family size is X, this family size includes, my father, mother, myself, my spouse……….. This is the family size I am including it in the application package.

Please note that, we meet the income requirements for sponsoring my parents. (Use this line if some one is co-sponsoring)

That's not true, Canada Post delivers to SCI which is the IRCC scanning and processing facility, it doesn't actually go straight to a government office like for other sponsorship or citizenship process where you are sending straight to the Sydney CPC.
The PO Box is associated to their address in Stevenage

The reason why some people don't see their file on ECAS is purely due to the usual randomness as in all IRCC processes
I never said that Canada Post delivers to the government facility. I said they deliver to the place it is supposed to go, as described on the Checklist.

And no, the reason why they don't see their ECAS is because their application wasn't reviewed yet:

"We were not able to identify you using the information you provided. There could be three possible reasons:
(...)
  • This service is only available to clients with applications in process. We may have received your application but not begun processing it yet."
This entire process takes up to 2 years to be finalized. Go outside and enjoy the sunshine, ECAS will be updated when an officer gets to your file. And if anything is wrong/missing on it, they will notify you.

Hey, I get that people are emotional about this. I have been trying to sponsor my mother for the past 4 years. But flooding this forum with messages like "oh why this" or "it's not fair" and "IRCC sucks" is annoying AF. People should be coming here to ask questions about the application and give updates on their process so everybody has a general idea of how things are going.

We ALL want our application to be processed as fast as possible, but bitching and moaning about how IRCC operates is a waste of time: they will operate however they see fit.

Go outside and enjoy the sun, have a beer, spend time with your family: this can take up to 2 years to be finalized. If there is anything wrong with an application, people will get a notification right away. Not seeing your ECAS means they just didn't get to your file yet. Simple.

Or not.. be "that guy" and keep flooding the thread, whatever..
Great post... I am in the same boat as you and 100% chime in with your sentiment. However, I mentioned this before in another post and I will say it again, most people understand that the process takes time but just get fired up when they see inconsistency in the way IRCC/CIC is handling this as it just doesn't make sense that some people can see the eCAS status and some can't (even though they may be one of the earliest ones to send their file), whereas someone who sent their file recently can check their status.

Ideally, they should either update it for everyone as and when they receive an application or not update it at all till they start sending AORs. But then again, we don't know what's happening in the background or what is their criteria of doing eCAS update, so all we can do is speculate on the process and vent out the frustration by complaining.

In the end, it does take time, so we all need to be patient and help each other out as much as we can with any kind of hurdles or blockers we may encounter during our processing, as we all have a common motive - "to unite with our lovely Parents/Grandparents..." and complaining doesn't/won't help here.

Schedule A form only needs to be signed electronically? Not allowing me to validate the form unless I type my mom's name in there.

Also,my mom has no education and the Schedule A form isn't allowing me to validate unless I enter a to and from date for education. What do I do?

Hi All,

I was checking the excel file managed by Yulia and in lot of cases from 2018, CIC has asked for Resume. Does anyone know whose resume they're asking for is it Sponsor or Principal Applicant/Dependant. My mother is housewife and Dad runs a store, so not sure if they will ask for their resume what i would write.

Also it there a format for it?

Hi I called CIC again and this time the agent seemed he knew what he was talking about.

This is what he suggested- use given names in last name as in canada its not possible to not have last name.
For form 5669 use NA in given name and use given name as last name same as in other forms.

I am going to follow this.

Actually, it is mentioned in the guidelines not to put NA, and if we enter the Given name and surname as the same names then the footer for applicant name looks different from the other forms... I asked this question to the CIC agents and I got below reply :

"For Schedule A, since you can’t validate it with the Given Name field empty, you can submit it without validating it and include a written explanation for why you had to do this. "

I am confused now, whether we shd keep Given name as blank and not validate form and provide an explanation letter
or
whether we shd enter the same name for Given name and Surname fields and validate the form and provide an explanation letter.
Any thoughts?
