Thank you for sharing your situation. You are not alone! I am waiting ince Sept 29, 2021. Hope we will receive good news very soon!
Its such a broken system and so much disparity within the same processess. … it is very hard to understand why some applications are being processed faster than other.
I know some of pgp2020 have already got virtual landing instructions. Its such a BS now!!!

Hi everyone! My parents file is almost coming close to the end of pgp journey. They have submitted they passport for visa stamping using the 2way courier. on feb 22 Passports reached Delhi immigration office since then there is no update.
would anyone Know how long does It take to return the stamped passports?

I am hoping one of you may have gone thru this situation and can help with some responses to give me some relief.

my parents are planning to wind up everything back home before they migrate to Canada. is there limit to bring funds to Canada? in what format is ideal?

@laxsun if you have any details appreciate your input.

thank you in advance

The following thread may be useful for VFS timeline in India:

To my knowledge, new PRs can bring any amount of fund and can declare it here including properties during first tax filing.
It is however, better to consult with tax professionals for the future implications of declaring the properties in the country of origin.
I think a demand draft is economical and acceptable way of bringing funds to Canada.

I have similar timelines… but cpc mississauga seems to be sleeping since day 1 ….

can you tell me what email address u received the PR portal link? Is it the sponsor email ? Or the principal applicant email?
PDF letter was addressed to the principal applicant, which came with an email. I used one email (mine) for all communication.

Hi All,

I wonder, could somebody please explain why my ecas status shows "2 decision made", while "My Account" shows that "we are processing your background check".
What should we expect?

Thank you!

Another update,
Just now, I received the passport request for my parents. I have to submit the passports within 30 days.
Please update the tracker. I think my process is complete now :)

One question: at the bottom of the passport request it has an information section stating this:

"Until further notice, most foreign nationals cannot travel to Canada if their valid CoPR and PRV was issued after March 18, 2020, unless they are exempt from the travel restrictions.
We have issued your documents so that when the restrictions are lifted, you will have your documents ready to travel to Canada.
Please keep your documents in a safe space.
You won’t be allowed to board your flight to Canada at this time."

I think parents are exempt and they can travel am I right?

Pakistani applicants who received PPRs! Has one of your parents served in the Pakistani military or on a government post? My theory is that the background check is significantly longer for people with govt. or military backgrounds. Information will help me estimate the approximate time it takes to get through the background check.

Hi, I just received a letter requesting to submit passports for my parents. But my parents are currently in two different places (covid restriction)
Can they submit their passport in two separately package? Anyone has the similar situation? How should to submit?

Congratulations on your parents' PPR.
Parents are exempt as they are considered immediate family members.
