Anyone here can help me please?
I know that the expiry date of COPR is tied up to the medical expiry date. But, is such cases that your passport is under COPR process and only couple of days like 3 to 4 days is remained from your medical to be expired. Is there any possibility for the IRCC to extend the COPR expiry date?
Anyone in the same situation or any ideas what will happen? Thanks in advance

This is the latest press release on Jan 28

https://www.canada.ca/en/transport-canada/news/2022/01/government-of-canada-provides-update-about-canadas-border-measures.html

In this they have mentioned:

Quick facts
  • The Government of Canada continues to require that all travellers, unless specifically exempted, have a valid negative pre-departure COVID-19 molecular test result taken no more than 72 hours before a scheduled flight to Canada or arrival at the land border, or a previous positive molecular test result taken between 10 and 180 days before departure to Canada.
It will be best for you to discuss with the airline about the requirement.

Someone here told me that their parents COPR expiry date is tied up to their medical expiry date.
Don't worry about the possibilities. Just wait for the passport to be stamped.
You can see in MyCIC when COPR is created and how long the PR visa will be valid.

Hi fellows,

I applied for my parents case in Jun 2019. So far, ecas is showing Sponsor Status is Decision made and Applicant status is In Process.

Under Applicant, it says we started processing your application on Dec 8.2021. The file was transferred to London in Aug 2021. We have submitted Biometrics and PCC but there has not been any single Medical Request yet.

My dad landed in Canada on a Visitor Visa in Jan 2022 and plan to stay for the next 4-5 months.

Do I need to update the address on file for him? My mom is still back home though. Kindly advise. Thank you

Many had to send multiple webforms and call CIC repeatedly. If you have not done yet, speak with your MP.

No need to update his address if he is staying temporarily.

Usually you get a months grace period or at least a few weeks.

There is clearly a long waitlist when it comes to virtual landing. Your MP will not be able to do anything unless it has to do with Afghanistan. Would also remind people not to send repeated webforms. It just delays the whole process because it creates more work and more webforms to sort through,

Yes you should always update the the address of applicants. You’ll need to specify they are in different countries.
