Hello all, My parents are travelling from india to canada , their flight has a layover in germany for 4 hours. do they need negative test in germany ?
Direct flights
If you’re taking a direct flight from India to Canada, you’ll need proof of a negative COVID-19 molecular test from the Genestrings Laboratory at the Delhi airport. The test must be taken within 18 hours of the scheduled departure of your direct flight to Canada.

Indirect flights
If you’re taking an indirect flight from India to Canada, you’ll still need proof of a negative COVID-19 molecular test, within 72 hours of your final flight to Canada. The test must be taken in the country from which your flight to Canada will depart.

Which flight ? Only direct flights .
yes. In case the flight is via transit country you need RT PCR from that country too. Thats why people are taking only direct flights ( Air Canada or Air India) to avoid this hassle. moreover Canada only recognizes RTPCR done by Genstring laboratories at Delhi Airport. So even if you are travelling from any other city you need to get the tests done at Delhi.

Sometimes that line appears when there is change in visa office.
Your line in the tracker is has no updates. Do you mind to post when IME, PCC and biometrics were requested?
Also what was your VO originally?
That's true, this line appeared when my file transfered to London from mississauga. And it's been 5 months nothing after that.

I have been waiting 2.5 years for the sponsor application for my mom.
I need to move to the US for work. However my sister will remain in Canada, but she is not the sponsor.

Can I be in the US and can she land as a resident?

Can I just come to visit Canada when she lands?

I replied to this questionnaire providing all the dates and mentioning that they are NOT in Canada and then I received a response that they can come to Canada and we can finish the process with the virtual landing online. My response was that they can't come to Canada as their visitor visa has expired and they need a request for passports and visa to come to Canada. Shortly after (the same day), they sent me a request for passport which I was pleasantly surprised about. This correspondence was with Vancouver while our LVO was London. Good luck with your case and hopefully you'll get a request for passport soon!
Thank you so much for the detailed information. We have replied to the email with all the details they've asked for. Now waiting to hear from them. Thank you and wishing your mom safe travels and landing. Cheers

I believe you have two options: 1. Get the certificate from the municipality if it is possible. You can use it for other purposes as well if needed.
2. Provide an explanation letter stating this situation. You can write it up and get your mother to sign.
Thank you!

Please update, today got another request from London Visa office

One copy of this letter, including the Updated Information Chart in Appendix A.

2. Passport(s) OR photocopy(ies) of passport(s), as explained in Step 2.

3. Two (2) photos of yourself and of each accompanying family member respecting precise specifications that can be found at:
www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/guides/pdf/5445EB-e.pdf

Can anyone please guide me, they ask: Please submit your package to the nearest Visa Application Centre along with the VAC Passport Transmission fee.

I though I will need a visa request to submit, passports to VAC center?

This looks passport request (PPR) to me for stamping PR visas except no. 2 is confusing as photocopies of passport is acceptable.
Have you seen your ecas change to Decision Made for principal applicant.

Yes, you can ask your parents to submit all the things they have asked.
IRCC will ask anything required further. It looks your case is final as what you have received itself is PPR.
You can see sample passport request from London VO on the link of 2019 tracker (cell J-2).

Today's news is good for travellers from India to Canada.Covid testing rules being relaxed in coming week.Travellers from India are allowed to get negative report from any MCI approved labs & same reports will be valid for connecting from flight also.
