Hi all-

I don't have a birth certificate. It was never issued to me. I have couple of questions and seeking advice

I have a copy of my surrendered Indian passport where the name of my mother is mentioned whom I am sponsoring.
Her name is not same as on my surrendered passport as her name on her valid passport. My moms middle name & surname is mentioned on my surrendered passport which is not same as what she has on her valid passport.

I spoke to consulate & they can make a certificate of birth but, with the details as on my surrendered passport which I think will not suffice. Also it will take 6 weeks and I think it will be too tight for submission.

I am thinking of writing a LOE and attaching the copy of my surrendered passport to prove my parentage. She has been visiting me for 7 years and I am hoping the CIC will have her records as my mother.

Is there anything else that I can do. My last resort will be to see if processing officer raises any concern to go for a DNA.

Please advise

, thanks I did it

Do we need to fill out imm 0008dep form if I/parents don’t have any dependents?
If your father is main applicant then your mom is dependent and/or your parent's dependents info will be added in that form. so you have to fill that form for your mom (if she is not main applicant or vice versa)

Hi guys,

A question about copy of parent’s passport. Do I need to send a certified copy? I mean is it required to ask an authorized person to print this on the copy “ I certify that this is a true copy of the original document”
I am asking because the travel history like entrance and exit stamps are not in english.
Thanks
no need to send certified copy if it's in English. just a regular readable photocopy is sufficient

Hi, I have a question about use of a representative form.
I will be representing my parents. So, should they fill two separate "use of a representative form"?
Thanks!

For those not yet sent out the apps, here are some common mistakes to avoid which may results in your application being returned:
1. Sign and date using blue ink instead of black ink
2. Forgot to stamp at the back of the photo or missing name, DOB, name and address of photographers or self printing of photos
3. Wrong order of documents, put the barcode page within the application pages or separate bar code pages from the front and put in front of each form, barcode pages must be together and right after the check list
4. Send to Mississauga instead of Ottawa PO Box
5. Include more documents than requested including original documents that must be returned
6. Not paying the correct amount of fee
7. Faked signature of parents
8. Signatures are not within the box
9. Not filling the name in the signature box in the form with e-sign
10. Barcode pages are corrupted or not readable
11. Write NA in field that are required or fields that are supposed not to be filled
12. Give SIN number and also send the form that say FILL only if NOT authorized to release tax return causing confusion to officer on what action to take whether to pull Tax return directly
13. Not include invitation letter
14. Using different pages size (A4 and letters mixed up etc)

1. Where does it say you need to sign with black ink? I've always used blue ink in all my applications and never got anything returned...
14. Where does it say that they don't accept A4 paper format? I've also sent multiple applications printed in A4 and never got anything back...

So all the barcodes should be after the check list.
OR
the barcodes should be on the top of each form?

Guys, I have one question. I was filling IMM 1344 form and there in the Sponsor's eligibility, there is a question "Have you Submitted a previous application in respect of which a final decision has not been made for the person being sponsored and their family members?". Now I have this concern, that I have my Spousal application in progress, and now in parallel I am applying for this PGP 2019, should I select NO or YES here? When I was seeing the instruction guide its written as below
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
If you answer “Yes” to any question between 5 and 15, and you are sponsoring a spouse, common-law or conjugal partner
  • You are not eligible to be a sponsor. You should not submit an application
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Can anyone help me here please? Please reply

Hi,
I was in same situation as yours, not sure about the guide but in the form it is clearly writen as "If you answer yes to any question from 5-15, you MAY not be eligible to be a sponsor." My understanding is than they check your family size and recalculate your minimum income requirement to find if you are eligible or not.
I have already submitted my parents application
