Hi All, Many of us are waiting for the approvals for our P/GP approvals and will be wondering how do we know whether the IRCC is processing at a normal rate. I am providing two separate mathematical / statistical views. Apologies if you find it relevant or you find mistakes with my calculations.
It seems that around 600 people in this group are still waiting.
View 1 - All applications need to be cleared by June 2021 (based on 2 year time frame from the date of receipt of application in Ottawa)
No. of (approx.) working days left until June 2021 end = 140
No. of applications to be approved closed / day = 600/140 (4.3 applications / day)
View 2 - CIC maintains a constant backlog of 20,000 applications on an ongoing basis
No. of working days in a year - 240
No. of applications to be approved closed / day = 600/240 (2.5 applications / day)
So unless we see 2 to 4 applications approved everyday, CIC is not working at a normal processing rate.
