I'm also from Calgary. I guess that's the reason why most June Albertan applicants haven't got their sponsor stage approved. Btw, what's SSC letter?hi @canuck78 and all forum readers.
Hope you folks are doing okay and staying safe in this pandemic.
I have applied in PGP program from Calgary,AB
I am in this unique situation where my SA got stuck "In Process" since Jan 2020. I have requested the GCMS notes in March and found out that they are waiting for SSC letter from Alberta.
I have contacted my local area MLA afterwards from there I got a call from SSC Personnel where they said that they have sent letter to IRCC which was on April 20,2020.
Fast Forward today, My SA is still stuck "In Process". I have requested GCMS notes again around end of May 2020 to see if they have received the letter but today got confirmation after looking at the notes that they are still waiting for it.
My question is , How can I send the letter personally from my end ? I don't want to contact Govt of Alberta any more as per them , its already sent.
What is the process of sending documentation on my SA file ?
Please advise.
Thanks.

Hi everybody,Hello everyone, I used web form to contact CIC last month and yesterday, both no response. Anyone knows why?
The sputum test and 2 chest x-rays are standard in regions where there is TB. You ng people are also required to do this. Canada has low levels of TB and tries very hard to keep It that way. Those who test positive are not refused but have to get treated in their country before approval.Agree, my mother has been doing different medical tests for past 6 months, she is 81 yo, mild hypertension, my impression they are trying to fit her to astronauts ...we ve done blood tests, chest X-ray x2, sputum... yesterday email arrived asking to contact panel physician for additional test required... I am so tired with all of that...
Supervisa insurances are high because many of the parents on supervisa do end up in the hospital and have health problems.Yes, you are correct my friend, many people are ok with that too. Super visa Insurances are too high for aged people. If they work (if they want to) they can claim GST or other tax credits/benefits (which can be explained by professional).
2 chest x-rays and sputum test is just a TB test. The 3 tests are required to prove you don’t have TB. It is a package. Canada has low levels of TB and tries to prevent TB from entering the country.I can totally understand the very frustrating position you are in. My mother is 72 yo widow and she did all the tests as well including sputum.
Your partner needs to be removed from the co-sponsorship if you are no longer together. I assume he will take that initiative since it is a large financially liability for 10-20 years but he also doesn’t qualify as a co-sponsor if you are no longer together. Your case with be unfortunately reassessed.Hi everybody,
Hope every one is safe and fine.

Thank you in advance. this forum is a godsend for us.
Did you actually read about the PGP program? You are responsible for them financially for 20 years (10 in Quebec). No they don’t qualify for welfare unless you want to pay it back. No pension either for 10 years when they get a small monthly amount. Are the parents who just landed and got their PR eligible for any govt. benefits? Can newly PR parents claim pension?

It is up to your partner whether they want to support your parent for the next 20 years if you are still living together. Things like a public nursing home is $1200/month so if my relationship was falling apart I would be questioning if that is a financial commitment I want to make.v
thank you. we are still together and are discussing about seperation and are going for counselling. I am trying to see how all this will impact my child and life.
thank you so much for your info
