@spiderme I think you have a solution for yourself, yup I know its straight or pass this chance. Not any criminal committed here. Whatever is not illegal and fraud, cic will accept it
If @spiderme takes your advice and later gets into trouble with cic for committing fraud, I hope you would help them convince cic that the divorce is genuine because they have a legal document from court.

Might as well, you could also help a ton of other cases, where their marriages are considered “of convenience”, convince cic that no fraud committed as they all have a legal doc called marriage certificate.

Do you mean her application is a regular PR application not PGP? The PGP deadline was June 28, 2019
Regardless, onto answering your question,
a) Unless your parent is divorced or legally separated, both have to be included on the application. You cannot just exclude one person. If your dad medical doesn't pass, both will get rejected.
b) Since your application is already being processed (I assume you received AOR and ECAS status). The only fee you will get back is the Right of Permanent Resident fee. Consult on the website to make sure.
Canvan14: Thank you for your help. I think I dont have any choice now but to withdraw the application. Could you please advise me how to withdraw the submitted application?

If you remain in a marriage like relationship and then get divorced only to get over the requirement that both parents pass the medical it is immigration fraud. You are misrepresenting your relationship to the Canadian government. It will be investigated because it would be a huge coincidence if someone got divorced after decades of marriage right before parent sponsorship with one parent being too ill to pass a medical. Not the first time people have tried to lie to immigration. @spiderme parents risk getting a 5 year ban. As a Canadian you should not be encouraging others to commit fraud.
Do you still remember last time a member reassessed his income ?? And you defined it as fraud/misrepresentative,...CIC would ask for questions about to meet income requirements. CIC did not ask anything and he got approved as sponsor BECAUSE CRA approved. If he listened scared stories , his parent would still there. As I said whatever is with legal docs. Not guiding anything but do not commit anything if you are not sure

@robertp @YULIA-2016 medical request received on Dec 19, parents medical was done on Dec 23.
Quick 2 questions here,
1- the medical centre says they send medical results in 2 days. I haven't seen update on cic tracker yet. how long usually takes to show up?
2- PCC, passport, IMM5562, etc forms have been sent to that designated email on Dec 23. what else I need to do now? do I just monitor the cic online account for any updates?

Please advise. Thanks a lot.
