Not yet, but we're finalizing the application and will be submitting soon.

We were going through a few ups and downs past few days as we realized we needed to provide latest stamps on passport to request extension after the passport had already been sent out. Although it was still at the Canada Post outlet and not yet picked up for delivery, they refused to let us have it back per CP policy. We also learnt from cic guidelines that we would not be granted implied status if the application is incomplete - which could very well be the case for us as we wouldn't be able to provide latest stamps on passport. We got so stressed over the fact we might be out of status in Canada and it would have a negative impact on landing that we posted a new thread in this forum asking for advice, after frantically researching everywhere for info without success.

Fortunately, everything turned out well at the end. We call cic and was advised the same thing as what was kindly suggested to us in our post, i.e. apply for extension anyways with LOE, indicating we'll send latest stamps on passport later via webform once we get it back from cic. What's even better is that we got to speak to Senior Solutions team from Canada Post, who was kind and understanding enough to make an exception for us to get back our shipment. We quickly made copies of all pages in passport for visa extension and resent the passport to cic. Thought we would share our experience as it might be helpful for those who happen to be in the same situation like us :)
My parents are here on Visitor Visas. I am going to apply for their Visitor Records to extend their stay next week.
Did you apply online

Why didn't you apply for visa extension (Visitor Record) online?

Yes, my visa office is NDVO. I got this information in my SA letter that my file has been transferred to NDVO, Al though my mom is in Canada for more than 2 years. there was no email confirmation that they have started reviewing my additional documents. it was just a line item on the status in my CIC account.
Hi how did you get your mother’s medical and biometrics done . My parents are also in canada and we got New Delhi visa office . Just wondering how did u get their medical and biometrics done and how did u sent the passport?

No, CIC has already decided. She provided a detailed letter as requested. And since you have not experienced this situation you aren’t able to offer advice.
In your specific case, CIC required a detail explanation letter, which they considered as acceptable proof.

However, in the original post and in general, every single case is different. The rule does not provide in detail what is considered as proof so it is entirely up to each VO. There is no common solutions/evidences to cover all cases. Whatever happens to one person is just one case, and shouldn't be applied to others. And there is no right or wrong answers to this.

Hello everyone, need your help please. I have submitted my application for my mother only in July 2019 and got an update from CIC asking for two forms for my 'father' - 5669 and 5406. I am not sure if I submit these forms, will I get medical checkup for my father as well? He had medical conditions and he will not be able to clear medicals, most likely. I am planning to trigger the PR process for my mother more as a plan B so that she can travel here in case of any eventuality.

My question here is -
a) will I be able to get the PR for my mother only, with the medicals for my mother only? OR will I get medicals for both of them and based on my father's health, will both of them get rejected?

b) If I chose to withdraw my application now, do you know how much money will I get back?

Do you mean her application is a regular PR application not PGP? The PGP deadline was June 28, 2019
Regardless, onto answering your question,
a) Unless your parent is divorced or legally separated, both have to be included on the application. You cannot just exclude one person. If your dad medical doesn't pass, both will get rejected.
b) Since your application is already being processed (I assume you received AOR and ECAS status). The only fee you will get back is the Right of Permanent Resident fee. Consult on the website to make sure.

medicals and bio-metric can be done in canada, you have free choice to do it any where in the world at designated places of ircc, when PR decision is made they give you choice of sending passport to visa office near to you, at that time you can mention Ottawa as your preferred visa office, or you can submit webform in advance to update your parents location and preferred visa office

Ask them go to court for divorce, its not ant hurt here since they are still loving each other, even if u apply next year, same thing unless you are divorced
