Hi, posting my questions again, hoping to get a response.

two questions :

1. my parents and their dependent are in India, while their file is being processed. How would they go about getting upfront PCC and medicals ? Just want to get it done to avoid any glitches or last minute delays. (will redo if it expires or gets requested again)

2. we have a paid representative on our file. how can we submit the upfront medical and PCC ?
For PR files, upfront medical is not allowed.

You may apply for upfront PCC as many Indian nationals did that. Your rep can submit that online via webform.

Hello Friends,

I am sponsoring my parents and I received a Request Letter from New Delhi Immigration in CIC as well as an email. My parents are here in Canada with me as they have their SuperVisa.

The Request Letter is requesting:

1. Police Clearance Certificate for my parents
2. Supplementary Information Forms for Travels for parents
3. Military Service Form for my Dad

My question is:

1. I am quite sure that I had submitted the supplementary information forms for travels indicating all dates and the military service form for my dad with my original application. But they are requesting it again. Is there any way to retrieve the docs submitted previously with my original application? Otherwise, I would have to gather all information again.

2. Just want to confirm that I can send scanned copies of these documents through email to delhiimmigration@international.gc.ca right? Or is there another way to send these docs, perhaps on cic? I am asking a very obvious question lol as I want to make sure that the documents are submitted properly due to the time constraint.

All input will be much appreciated

1) No way to retrieve documents, other than if you have saved copies earlier or made photocopies before sending.
2) Yes sending the email is fine :)

RCMP fingerprinting is different from Biometrics.
So far, biometrics can not be done in Canada.
Some people who got Bio exemption, got these RCMP fingerprint requests or may be for some other reason.
I got this same request for my citizenship. Basically in this one, you provide your fingerprints to an RCMP accredited agency, they will forward it to RCMP, they will check your criminal record.

But, if someone gets biometrics request, we can not fulfill that one in Canada at the present moment, which is ridiculous as they should provide an option for doing it in Canada.

If we get the bio request can we request them via webform to get rcmp fingerprinting done since parents are in Canada???

I don’t think they will accept such request. But one could try.
People whose parents were here and got bio, only got extensions for aome time to provide biometrics, no one reported (In the forum) that they got exception or replacement of this request with RCMP fingerprinting.

Basically RCMP fingerprinting is just to do a criminal record check in Canada, whereas biometrics is saved in IRCC’s database to verify the identity, do criminal record check and i think they share this data with certain countries for immigration purposes to do background checks.

Finally the day I was waiting for has come !. Received PPR yesterday. My PPR letter straightaway asks me to submit the passports to VFS India, with no option of Mississauga, so CO was well aware that my mother is in India.
Thank you everyone for this forum and your contribution. This kept my anxiety at bay.
Many Congratulations @snganu to u & your family.

Hello,
I have not had Biometrics done yet as sent a web form request to get Exemption. IRCC Website that they may get exempted as they were in Canada when they submitted their file. NO firm answer yet from anybody. I have not come across any member in this forum either who can confirm that they got Exempted or got Extension. Due date to get BM done for my parents is December 2nd, 2019.I will post any new info I get. Sorry I did not know how to PM. Maybe you can walk me through:)

I've received this response from my LVO after I have filled the web form. My mother was supposed to submit biometrics on 5th Nov. Application is still active. I guess the LVO has some means not to expire the biometrics request. CIC twitter account did mention that Biometrics collection centers will open in Canada end of 2019. I just hope it happens, otherwise my mom will do it back home in mid Jan. Just a note though, my mom's application seems to have come to a standstill. No medical request & no PCC request. I guess they'll continue processing the app after they've received bio. And no, they did not grant my exemption request :(. My mom has never done bio before, she's on visitor's visa and not supervisa.
Email from LVO:

Good day,
Your biometrics collection instructions will remain valid for use. As your application is in the queue for review, you can have your biometrics taken when you arrive back in South Africa.

Family member count formula: [Sponsor+Co Sponsor] no kids+PA+Dependents
Yes but it didnt work because here is the example:
# of family numbers : me (1) + hubby (1) + kid (1)+ mother (1)+ dad (1) = 5; but to link the application the number that worked was 4

Not sure why four.. that's why i said try all numbers

That's what the formula said- No kids, means don't count kids. So 4 would be the correct number according to the formula as well :)
