@robertp @YULIA-2016

please update line 294, i got medical exam for both parents on Sept 27.

could you please let me know what kind of tests they will do? do my parents need to fasting?

thank you
No fasting required. The check-up is a basic check to see if they are in good health. Any visible signs of illness, listen to their heart, blood pressure, listen to their lungs, etc. The doctor should ask about any known illnesses and what medication they are taking. You can write down all of the medication beforehand and bring the list or just bring the medication if you prefer. They will do a blood test to look at basic things like their white and red blood cells, kidney and liver function, blood sugar and usually testing for some transmittable diseases like HIV,hepatitis, etc. In most countries parents will also be sent for a chest x-ray to see if there is any signs of TB. X-ray would also show other lung diseases. If there is scarring on the lungs you would be asked to give a sputum sample and then repeat the x-ray in 3 months to make sure nothing has changed or gotten worse. The sample will also see if any bacteria or fungus grows in the sputum. This is mostly to look for TB.

There is no reason

They dont know how to be fair:confused:
There was never any promise it would be done in chronological order. There are still people left from 2018, 2017 and probably 2016, 2015, etc. when people started being contacted for PGP2019 so those cases should be the ones complaining. Although you may have expected that your case would be processed at the same time as others submitted on that date what is important is that your parents will get PR if everything checks out.

Got the same letter requesting PCC etc as others today... a few questions:
(1) there's is no deadline for document submission, correct?
(2) anybody has a template for CV/resume? Or any suggestion for the format?
(3) no bio request letter yet? Will they send it later?

I will need to renew my mom's passport asap, since it will expire in 6 months... ;-)

Just a reminder for everyone who were requested to submit photocopies of all pages of passport, if there is any stamp in another language, it has to be translated.
In my case, Iran, stamps the passport in every entrance and exit in Farsi and I had to translate all those stamps for immigration purposes.
I will take my mom’s passport to a translator today.

Maybe not for India but definitely for Iran because the calendar is also different. Instead of 2019 we have 1398. So they wouldn’t understand the dates. I did not translate mine for my citizenship and my documents were sent back asking for translation of stamps.
I am not sure if PGP is looking at the stamps or not but $80 is not worth the delay.
