Is this DM on sponsor side or the applicant side?

I think, you meant on sponsor side, if yes, I hope what you say is true (Good for me) but I my opinion, there is no connection between DM of sponsor and bio request of applicant. In fact, I would expect the bio and medical after the sponsor approved.

Applications from India are processed fast a lot of times.

Not sure about that but it is also when parents are in Canada currently on Visitor/ super visa but there are some exceptions on tracker to this.
