My application was received may 21st, on july 29th they requested IMM5669 with handwritten signatures which were sent the next day.

I still cannot access ecas, anyone knows a similar case and when can i hope that they activate my ecas ?
When they make a doc request, they usually do not check that file in next 30 days. So....

I highly doubt @DC1018 case is real, I challenge him to post the PPR letter with the date he mentioned

by the way, whoever wants to see the PPR, PM me. better yet, the tracker mods please PM me and i will validate. i will share it with everyone of you if you are curious but i am not going to show it to this clown. let him keep thinking it's fake for all i care :)

bottom line is, people, with my own case and educated guess, i don't think biometrics have anything to do with background check.

I must correct you, this probably only applies to when application is incomplete. For completed applications, when there's a document submission, pending on the volumes and vo's workload at the time, the documents might be reviewed right away. I am positive my documents were reviewed fairly quickly.

Its look like AoR but different format . I dont see cap 2019 like July 11 AoR.
But this letter confirm you CIC received your application.
Aor means application is accepted or received??? As the email says application is received. Nowhere it says its accepted

Question: What does ‘AOR’ mean?

Answer: AOR is an acronym that stands for the term “Acknowledgment Of Receipt”. An AOR indicates that the Canadian consulate, embassy, or high commission, has received your application for permanent residency and has issued a case file number for the application submitted. The length of time it takes for an individual to receive an AOR varies with the specific visa processing office the application was initially submitted to.

Hello everyone

I am new to this group and have quick question. I submitted my parent's sponsorship application in may 2019. It was received on may 16, 2019. We have not received any communication since then. I made cic account and was able to link the application. It shows application number assigned as well .

On ECAS, it says application received for both applicant and sponsor. I see some people have already received next step. Is there anyone like me still waiting to hear from Ircc.

Can someone please shed some light on it? Thank you

@imm_leb_01 My app was received May 17th and they requested a form July 15th (submitted same day). I'm still waiting for ecas. I'm not concerned, it does cause a bit of a delay but they'll get there.
Ok

Hi Guys,
I got a question regarding IMM008 dependent form.
I applied for my Mom and Dad this year 2019.
My question is:
Do we have to submit IMM008 dependent form also making my Mom as a dependent as my Dad is a principal Applicant

OR
THIS FORM HAS TO BE SUBMITTED ONLY, IF MY PARENTS HAVE ANY DEPENDENTS UNDER THE AGE OF 22??

Anyone please reply !!

Linking application is a good sign and you will soon receive acknowledge of receipt (AOR) soon, Most of the May 16th 17th applicants still waiting for this step.

I got this email today morning addressing my Mom only:

Dear Mr./Ms. xxxxxxxxxxxx
This is in reference to your visa application for Canada.
Further medical information is required before a decision can be reached. Details have been sent to your eMedical file regarding the medical information required. Please return to see the Panel Physician who performed your immigration medical examination or to another e-Medical enabled Panel Physician (http://www.cic.gc.ca/pp-md/pp-list.aspx). The Panel Physician will arrange for the additional medical tests to be carried out and will forward the results directly to this office.

Please contact PP for an appointment to comply with this request at the earliest. Failure to do so may result in the closing of your Immigration medical file, which may result in the refusal of your application.
Please quote your IME number on all correspondence with this office.
Sincerely,

Officer

Today i linked my application and it says your application is in progress but ECAS is still showing application received.

IRCC usually sends this email to double check. For example: a friend of mine, his father's chest x-ray showed a black spot, his father received a smiliar email, IRCC wanted to confirm that the applicant doesn't have a sever medical condition. Eventually his father cleared the medical.
Do not worry too much, just book the medical with the same Panel Physician.
