Hello Everyone,
Hoping someone can help me.
I got invitation to sponsor both my parents
1. How much my income needs to be to sponsor them?
2. I am married, my husband sponsored me 4 years back, can he be the co signer?

Thanks

You were supposed to have checked and verified your family size, income requirements and that you were eligible, BEFORE entering the lottery.

All income needs are found here: https://www.canada.ca/en/immigratio...application-sponsor-parents-grandparents.html

Yes your husband can be a co-signer.

Most likely You wasted a spot of someone. You should have checked eligibility criteria before entering in draw. income requirements is one thing. Also individuals who themselves were sponsored by spouses in last 5 years in not eligible. Check gudie for same

People who were sponsored by their spouse are barred from sponsoring another spouse within 5 years of landing. The 5 year bar does not apply to sponsoring parents. A sponsored person could sponsor their parents right after landing if their spouse meets LICO.

Hi All,

I came to this country as a student, I completed graduation, then worked, then have become a permanent resident since 3.5 years. I recently applied for my citizenship as well. Now I've received the letter to sponsor my parents and since I intend to call them as I meet all the requirements

Furthermore, I have a sibling who is single and is not financially dependent on my parents and does not intend to immigrate to Canada. So, at this point, I am filing immigration for both my parents.

My questions are:

Do I have to file for both parents individually/ separately?
What are necessary steps to take in order to file for immigration?
Do these documents need to be filled up by my parents and sibling individually?

Thank you,
Nick.

I do not think this statement is accurate. People who were sponsored by spouses in the last 5 years CANNOT submit Sponsor of 'another' spouse.

this question has nothing to do with sponsoring parents or grandparents.

This is incorrect. Rule applies to sponsoring a spouse. Not applicable to parent / grandparent sponsorship.
