Hi friends,
I received the invitation from CIC for sponsoring my parents this morning. Here is my situation:
I meet income requirements for 2016 and 2017. My salary is 83,000. But as I started my work in mid 2015, my 2015 income doesn’t meet the requirement, although my common-law partner would co-sign this for me. We have been together for a year. Could he help me to meet the income requirement for 2015? Cause we were not together in 2015? Can anyone help me in this? I really appreciate it
partner not = spouse, she is ready to be responsible for your parents 20 years?

Sorry fellow forum members for my anger, its just frustrating to see how some ignorant people ruined the plans and life of the eligible PRs and Citizens.

Hello folks, newbie here.

I just received an Email this morning confirming that my Interest to Sponsor my mom here is selected for application.
I will have tons of questions regarding documentations going forward (so sorry for bombarding this thread in advance)

Here comes the first question:
Financial Evaluation for Parents and Grandparents Sponsorship (IMM5768) Question 8: Statement of Consent - Should you give your SIN and consent to Immigration to auto-retrieve your record from CRA?

From my perspective: I don't have any problem or anything to hide. My income is way over the requirement so I'm OK either way. I was just which is FASTER?

Also - if the answer is 'NO', the subsequent form I need to attached, 'Income Sources for the Sponsorship of Parents and Grandparents' - is not updated on the government website. The year is still 2016, 2015 & 2014 when we needed to give 2017, 2016 & 2015 numbers.

Thank you so much in advance! :):)

Thank you very much for your help...
Only one more little clarification I need... I was married in 2015 and I divorced end of 2016 and I got together with my new bf more than year ago... I have a boy and I would be sponsoring my both parents... I’m confused how to calculate my family size... I cannot include my both ex and current spouses for 2015 family size right? Please help me understand it.
family size= you + kid + common to meet LICO /if she is ok/ + 2parents=5

Hi
Can we get medical done for parents even before CIC request for it?
Do we need any number to get medical done?
no, you need a form with IME#

Congratulations!

For Q8, it all depends on you if you want to provide SIN or the consent, there is no indication either of them make the processing faster than other.

Also, here is the link for the correct version of
Income Sources for the Sponsorship of Parents and Grandparents (IMM5748e)

https://www.canada.ca/content/dam/ircc/migration/ircc/english/pdf/kits/forms/imm5748e.pdf?

Also if you fill the application forms correctly and provide the explaination letters (as required), that will help IRCC officer in processing the file quickly. For information regarding common mistakes to avoid and application completion, check the below link:

Exactly, it's really Sad and heartbreaking to see Not-Selected for the 4th time!! :(
whereas these morons getting invites for not being eligible and wasting a spot of someone eligible waiting for 2 years!!

Congratulations!
1. Yes your parents can apply for visitor visa while their PR application is in process.
2. There is no precise timeline for application processing, could take from 6 months to 6 years, perhaps the processing speed has improved but there are lots of factors in play i.e. visa office, completeness of application package, possible delay by applicant in getting medical and PCC.

There are few steps you can take to help IRCC in processing your file without any hick-up, one of them is to pay Fee of $2080 ($1040x2). That will include Sponsorship fee ($75 x2), principal applicant processing fee ($475x2) and right of permanent residence fee ($490x2).

As per guide 5772 if everything is payed upfront, it will help in faster processing of application.

Also if you fill the application forms correctly and provide the explaination letters (as required), that will help IRCC officer in processing the file quickly. For information regarding common mistakes to avoid and application completion, check the below link:

Thanks so much for the info. Also they say that we have to submit the forms by Oct 5th. I live in Mississauga and parents are in India. So I have to send them the filled forms and they have to sign them and return back right. Do they have to provide any documents from their side?
