Job Offer........
Pre-Assessed..
For 4 (2+Sponsor 2) persons, is below the final income or do I add 30% on top of that?

2016||2015||2014
$58,768||$57,642||$57,125

This is the final income, as mentioned in the interest form. It already includes LICO + 30%.

Yes. Both parents will need to do medical, even if one is non accompanying.
But some one on the similar forum, told me that no need of medical (for my father) in case he is non accompanying.
Because I am sure he will not be able to pass medical and thats why I am not applying him along with my mother application

Completely wrong. BOTH PARENTS must do medical exam, and pass, regardless if accompanying or not. If a non-accompanying dependent fails the medical, everyone in the app is rejected.

Else after your mom got PR, she could just sponsor your dad under family class and he would be exempt from excessive demand for medical test.

Only way your dad could be excluded from the medical is if he was truly separated/divorced from your mom.

Thanks Rob, what you are trying to say is even currently my father is non accompanying but he will be receiving a medical request once my mother will recieve her medical request and at that point of time, if my father fails in medical exam that will also cancel my mother application as her partner could not pass the exam. Even though he is non accompanying applicant

Hi,

I am a bit confused about calculating family size to see if i qualify for parents sponsorship.

If i want to apply this year 2018, then do i count my income for "2014, 2015, 2016" or "2015, 2016, 2017"?

Also, i got married in 2017, the previous years i was single, in that case which income requirement do i check as my family size was different for previous years.

I would like to sponsor my parents, mother and father, they have one dependent children who is 18 years old now, so for 2014,2015,2016 my family size was 4 (Me, my mom, dad and sister) but as i got married in 2017 now my family size 5 including my husband.

so how do i calculate my family size for last three years?

Also, my husband does not live with me here in Canada, i haven't sponsored him yet, so technically he is not dependent on me and he does not live with me in Canada.

Can anyone help me understand how do i check if i qualify to sponsor my parents?

Your family size is 5 for 2015, 2016 and 2017. You must meet these incomes on your own with your Canadian income to qualify:
2017 $67,400
2016 $66,654
2015 $65,377

I did not get a chance to go through and read all these threads but can someone answer my question.

1. Can you apply to the Parents and Grandparents sponsorship if you applied to an H&C application already?

2. It says that you have to make a certain amount of income for the last 3 taxation years, what if I only qualify for 2017(current year) but not 2016, 2015? Can I still apply?

2) no, you cannot apply unless you're in Quebec. Need all 3 years

Hi,
What is pre-requisite for co-sponsor?
Can my brother apply for interest and if he qualifies then I can co-sign him (since he don't meet MNI).
I know, Spouse co-sponsor ship is valid. But I am not sure about Siblings doing co-sponsorship !

Siblings cannot co-sponsor. Only spouse.

Wait till you or him can sponsor with his or your own income before you or him apply.

Hi,
I have a question about proof of income. How we should submit it and when?
Do we need to prof our income by the time we submit the lottery form or after we got approved?
Thank you

You should already have your 2015 and 2016 NOA now. (Notice of Assessment)

But the time the lottery result is announced, you would have filed and got your 2017 NOA as well.
So you will be asked to submit the proof when you submit the application if you got picked. (NOT after you got approved. You only get approved after you submitted the application and after they evaluate your information.)

BUT if you know that your income won't meet the requirement in any of the 3 years, then don't enter the lottery.
