Hello I am new to forum, I received the invitation in March 2018, sent my application, to Ottawa, which was received, on May 08, 2018. June 28, 2018, CIC requested IMM5476 to be completed again. Send the required information, and received AOR, both Sponsorship & Permanent Resident application are in Processing as of August 28, 2018. Any idea if its common for both to be in process at the same time, my understanding was first they will approve my sponsorship and than they will start parents permanent resident application. As most of us in this thread I have been checking application everyday, hoping to see any further action on my application soon. Any guess, how long they take to approve the sponsorship, and next steps:

I did not received a pre-arrival services letter before.

I am at medical request step. i think the pre-arrival letter is when the ask for passeport request or after.

My file is being processed at Dar Es Salaam local VO.
yep, before PPR

I believe that's not necessary since PR card AND/OR passport are both working for sponsor

My wife also filed for her parents sponsorship 2nd lottery in 2017 but they have already landed last month and now waiting for their PR cards. I would say yours is very slow but maybe normal for NDVO.

Thanks for the response

Is it normal for my file delay as some applicants with a similar timeline in NDVO has file processed?
Should I be waiting ?? or contact NDVO anyway ?
