Hello, the PR Application Status for my Parents was changed to Decision Made in ecas. What is the next step after that? Do they just ask to submit the passport or there are some additional steps involved? I saw some comments saying pre arrival letter, just want to understand what stage is that?

Can anybody please send me the template they used for the Government Service Detail? My father works in the government back home but not in military. I did not received the template although the letter on my cic account says enclosed. I would really appreciate any help please...

Update on app: The background check started today even if the medical is not passed yet (my mom got a furtherance request after the medicals done May 26, will be back on Aug 27 for another xray)

Just received a message from CIC as > Police Certificate: Please provide an original police clearance certificate from China This must be received at this office by: 2018/09/07

However, the parents have been staying in Toronto since Jan. 2018 not in China for more than 7 months.

Anyone could give any suggestions?

Im not sure about your circumstance but if your parents are Chinese national, you should first contact Chinese embassy to see if and how long they can provide you criminal record from police department. My dad worked in China for several years in past but since his not Chinese nationality, I wrote a letter to CIC stating he is not in China anymore hence hard to obtain police certificate. In the end CIC approved their PR without the certificate. I think what you can do is first ask embassy and if they tell you you must obtain it within china, you can write letter to CIC telling them your parents is not in China anymore or otherwise give them a viable date to obtain.

Thanks for the info . I just checked my ECAS , it updated as Decision Made . Hopefully will get PPR soon .

Write a letter to Ottawa, say you submitted PCC from China in October 2017, and after that your parents live in Canada, and you also submitted the PCC from Canada, good luck,

Thank you. The parents have to go back to home and get PCC from China.

You will need to check with your local police station, my parents got the PCC without going back. Good luck!
