I have a question,

My mom passed away, and I sponsored my father in 2018, if my father gets married before he gets PPR, DO I have to sponsor my step-mother to immigrate? Or I have the right to refuse?

After my father gets PPR, Can he sponsor my step-mother right away after landing? Or I must sponsor my step-mother? Appreciate your answers. Thanks in advance.

I think if marital status changes and your father has a dependent (another wife) or even if not dependent, he must inform CIC. She will be go on the application and will receive Medical exam (even if she is not traveling to Canada) because your father will have the right to sponsor him the moment he lands in Canada (I think).

Maybe he can hold marriage till he lands? Or maybe you can add her to application.

If he marry before landing, he should amend his record with visa office before he lands. Otherwise, he will be committing misrepresentation. An example:

In your case, its mostly now depending on Medical clearance time. Which is uncertain. Can be fast or slow.

But in general, to get PR visas, its approximately 3-4 months after receiving medical request, if your application is with CPC Ottawa. Other visa offices have different processing times.

We got the medical request on 17 May 2018 and the results were received by CIC on 3 Jun. However no response till now.

No, CIC did not send any message when they started BC. I kept checking as usual and one fine day it changed to BC started.

Hello Friends, my father got email from CIC to submit the passports with two photographs. In the email, it asked to complete also a form(which is in the email as Appendix B) with different information(name, DOB, place of birth, citizenship,Gender, Passport#, date of expiry, height and eye color) for both applicant and spouse.

I have two questions related to that:
1. Do I need to print the email and complete that in that email hard copy paper?

2. In the top of Appendix B, before the form, it has written:
Please complete this form for yourself, your spouse/common-law partner, and your dependent children who will accompany you to Canada.

Do I need to complete and submit that form (Appendix B) separately for both of my father and mother?

Any one who has recently submitted the passport and have done the same thing, it would be great help if you could help me in this regard.

This is strange.

I was asked to submit the passports and there wasn't such requirement, except the photos.

Not sure why they are asking for the information as mentioned above. All of it is already provided in main application package.
Do you see the form number at footer? IMMXXXX or..its just blank?
