Anyone from the first round 2017 with Ottawa LVO who has not yet received PCC request and still at the Eligibility Review stage (Background Check not started yet)?

Hello All...
How do you guys send the passports from your country of residence to Canada (Ottawa) for Visa stamping for Parents?

CIC only returns the stamped passports to an address in Canada or USA (Prepaid envelope). Wondering how some of you have done it. Hope to hear from you. This info will help a few of us moving forward.
Contact CIC Ottawa, ask if you can get passport stamped in the visa office of your country of residence,I am going to do that in the future.

Hi
I am new here.
I had applied for sponsorship of my parents in 2011. It has been 7 yrs since. My parents have had 2 Medical’s and police check. And again they have another email from cic to have the medical done for the 3rd time. 6 months ago , through an Mp I was able to find out that they are taking time due to background research. How much more time will they take
It’s so frustrating.
call them , London is checking my BC already 12 mon so im ready to repeat my medical 2 nd time

I APPLIED TWICE, nothing actually interesting, just know exact date for medical expired

Mine had some notes on the file being held awaiting BC. After I enquired about the reasons why the BC hasn't started yet, we'd progress a couple weeks later. Might be coincidental but it was definitely helpful to see detailed notes to put our mind at ease.
7 years seem quite unusual, though that used to the norm a decade ago.

Great Response. That is what their email says, just wanted to clarify.

I am not going to discuss about the ways one can send passport to Canada from home country. This is what the email from CIC says or will say when they ask for passport.

If you do not have a mailing address in Canada or the U.S.A, or if you are unable to submit the required documentation for you or your accompanying family members to the addresses below, please send an email to us at CPC-CTD-Ottawa@cic.gc.ca so that we can send you instructions for submitting your documents to a visa office which is the most convenient for you. Please note that our office will not return passports to an address outside North America.

You may have a mailing address, but, this does not matter. Send an email to CIC requesting them for a transfer it to local visa office... Good luck!!
