On May 22, 2018 My client application status changed to

1. We received your application for permanent residence on October 12, 2017.
2. We started processing your application on May 22, 2018.
3. We sent you medical instructions on May 22, 2018. To avoid delays, please provide us the information requested in the letter as soon as possible. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.

On May 2, 2018, we receive an email that your sponsorship approved and your file is transferred to Ottawa. but I did not get any email yet for medical request.

anybody have any idea why I did not get medical request.
do they send it by postal mail or e mail

Did you link your paper application to your online account https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/application/account.html? The med forms can be there (I can see in ecas the same as you see for my application and our forms were attached to the online account I mentioned before) Good luck!

I received 2 medical request letter, 1 for applicant and 1 for dependent
but dependent is not accompanying the applicant to Canada. Does he really need to undergo medical exam?

SA approval date: May 24
Medical Request: May 24
LVO: ottawa

yes, both should pass medical

Just check my application status online for my Parents, Port of Spain stated that they start processing the application on May 25, 2018. Question, does that mean medical request will be sent anytime now?

A question here.

As SA was done for me in last week, should I go ahead and get medicals done for my parents pro-actively ? I assume we should get medical request from cpc-Ottawa soon (within 12 months at worst, within validity of med tests).

What do you guys recommend ?

Or will that put un-necessary stress on already overloaded system.

1. The panel doc wont do any test without the medical request letter
2. Medical tests have a validity.. hurrying up may hurt more if there are further delays..

you must get medical forms, you cant come and say there you go we are here
