I received AOR Nov 20 and haven’t received SA yet, I am getting worried.

I even called CIC and was told by agent (she was new she said) that SA can take up to 11 months that doesn’t make sense to me.

I hope we all get SA soon.

Thanks

yep, I was waiting it 1 year but I'm 2016 PGP

and don't worry if you meet LICO;)

Anyone knows what happens if either the principal applicant or dependant fails medical? Does the one passing medical still gets approved or the entire application is rejected?

I need help with the sponsoring parents and grandparents. I came to Canada on 01 Sep, 2017 on a PR, and want to sponsor my parents. The only issue is how shall I show my income. My current income meets the cut-off, but what about previous income? Does this mean that you have to stay in Canada for 3 years before sponsoring? Please let me know. Thanks, Ronak

Entire app would be rejected for everyone.

You must have 3 years income in Canada supported by CRA tax returns.

So if you have tax returns meeting LICO amount for 2018, 2019 and 2020, you can possibly apply to the lottery in January 2021.

Cool. Thanks Rob. I will apply for a normal visitor visa or a super visa for now. Will think about sponsoring again in 2021

We got notified in April 2015 of not getting an offer to apply.

Then in September we got an email offer to apply.

We got email notification today that the application was accepted

Best of luck to everyone going through the 2017 process.

I have a quick question: What were the two 2017 lottery dates and how much time was given between "invitation to apply" and "app submission deadline". I have searched and also seen the spreadsheet but couldn't find these dates. Perhaps, I am missing something obvious. Realize 2018 may be different but would be good to get a sense of 2017 dates.

Really appreciate the help.

It's not complicated at all, it's quite simple. If any parent or dependent fails the medical, the entire app is rejected for everyone.

Else if they let the people who passed get PR, they could simply sponsor the ineligible family members in a family class app where there is no excessive demand test.

Makes sense but what happens if only one parent is sponsored while the other is sick and at a higher chance of failing medical so not included as an accompanying dependant on the application?

Impossible. Both parents unless legally divorced/separated, must be included in the app and must both pass medical. Doesn't matter who is accompanying or non-accompanying.
