2014 and 2015 you are a family of 3 ( 1 you + 2 your parents)
2016 you are family of 4 (1 you+ 2 your parents + 1 your wife)
2017 you are family of 5 with the birth of your baby.

2014 - $47,051
2015- $47,456
2016- $58,768
2017- is not required at this time and is not mentioned in the LICO chart in the guide. For 2016 however income for family size 5 is $66,654 so for 2017 it should be in that range as well within a margin of error so you need to maintain your annual gross income for 2017 onwards in that range. For now I would suggest attaching Option C printout from your CRA account along with giving consent for cic to access your cra account in the application for pgp.
Hope I covered everything.

This information is wrong. You have to use the current family size for all three years. So family size will be 5 people for 2014, 2015 and 2016.

Thanks so much for the response. I will try to get the citizenship record ASAP.
Worse come worse, i am not able to get the record back in time from CIC, is it possible i can put a random date along with the correct month and year, attaching a note to the form mentioning that i have submitted an application to CIC for a record search? Thanks again.
Any insight fellows?

IRCC uses the family size at the time you apply. They do not look at the family size for the individual years. You need to meet the LICO for 5 people for each of the three taxation years. You can include your spouse's income for each year as well.

IRCC does not look at the family size for each individual year. If they did, there would be three separate sections on the IMM5768 for determining the family size for the minimum necessary income instead of just one. Family size at the time of application submission applies to all three of the qualifying taxation years.

Thanks for the clarification.

Doesn't matter what you put in family size in question 14 or 17 (better would be 5). They will only go with the numbers calculated in questions 2 through 7. but yes you have to meet the LICO for 5 members for 2014,2015, 2016 and future till application is in progress..

Hi All,

I mailed my documents on June 5th and it supposed to be there by June 6th and steel shows out for delivery and called to the Canada post and open a thicket number yesterday they told me it is there but, when they get the package you can see who signed. But anyone knows how many days will take they pick the items? Already passed 16 days and means nobody from immigration pick the items is it right?

Thanks
Hi!
My docs were delivered on May 16th. Still haven't heard back from IRCC. I called them today and they confirmed that my application is in queue. So, it is just waiting game. So, don't panic. They don't have a set criteria for processing the applications. It is just random.

Just put the first of the month and include a letter of explanation. This is not something that actually affects the app, so IRCC isn't going to care that the exact date isn't known.

Hello folks,
Quick questions:

  • In the form 5768. I am filling my wife's employment details in the last section. 17. I that it asks for Family size as well. I have filled 4 in the Family size for my employment history. Will the cosigner be having the same number in the "Family size" column?
  • Also I am self employed now, what documents should I produce to justify my 2017 income. (Article of incorporation for my company, Invoices in the business name or Paystubs given to me by myself from my company or something else?)

Pls suggest. Thanks in advance to this really helpful group.

Call 1-888-242-2100. Call early in the morning, otherwise you won't be able to talk to an agent.I called at 6:30 am and was able to connect to an agent at around 7:20 am. They should be able to confirm the receipt and the current status of your application.

GOOD LUCK
