Hi yulia and senior members,

Please help

I called call centre number to ask what documents they need, agent said they have not requested anything yet, but she said she can see on file that they want to send procedural fairness letter, for my dad. She also said that she not able to see furtherance letter that we got in October and results of tests on file.

I am so worried and confused as what’s happening

my parents medicals expired in Nov 2018 as they are valid for one year , Background check is in progress since September 2018, file is in London visa office. Not sure when will PPR come, i guess now they will have to redo medicals. In May 2019 it will be exactly 2 years since CIC received the application.

By text alerts he probably meant SMS updates. Those are usually done by private VFS companies and not LVOs.

How to get text alerts service and how much charges?

When you submit the Passport in Islamabad to the service center they will charge you extra RS 600or so (not sure as my sister did that in Pakistan) for the text update on the progress of your Passport processing.

Hello @YULIA-2016 and any senior members, here is my situation:
i have received my SA back in April 4th (i am in the first round of 2017 applicants) but since then there is no communication from CIC.
I have uploaded unfront PCC even though they didn't ask for it but just thought to proactively upload it so they can start moving my file but no luck.
After that i have requested ATIP/GCMS and received update ( i can see that the due date to request medical shows 1st of November & PCC due date march 2019 but again no movement of my application for my parents).

would you be able to advise me what should i do? Request my local MP ? It's been a while and seems like everybody from 1st round of 2017 aplicants already received Visa but for me i have received no request. Any suggestion will be greatly appreciated. I am so tensed

Mine is so slow, my application is processing in NDVO..
The initial assessment to ensure the sponsor iseligible has been finalized on March 29, 2017.
The assessment for the applicant(s) is still in process at the Canadian visa office in New Delhi, India.
the eligibility requirements assessment was finalized on October 26, 2017.
Medical: test done in 22 March 2018

Med expirey date: The results are on file and valid until March 23, 2019 for all applicants.
The criminality verifications are currently valid for all applicants.
The security verifications have been initiated for all the other applicants.
And yes i received this email in june 2018 from NDVO till now they didn't ask me anything like interview or additional document request,
and i don't know whats going on with my application ? im so worry about this even NDVO didn't respones my email no get ppr till yet after medical test its going around 9 month still waiting...

My dad file, no updates!!
Medical has been received August 2018 ( went for medical in June 2018)
background check has not started ( automated message on CIC call center number)

I am assuming and thinking, whose parents are here in Canada on super visa/visitor visa( medical and police clearance done here in Canada itself)- getting PR faster.
My colleague got selected in second round, her file started in February 2018, medical of her mother was done in August 2018. Her mother is now a permanent resident October 2018.
