Hi Yulia,
I have been reading this thread since last year and appreciate all your efforts and other members to provide the support for worried and confused members. I applied for my Mother last year first draw, Sponsorship approval received in December and FILE moved to London Visa office. Medical and PCC request came in February 2018 and submitted. Medical passed in April 2018 and after that no updates and Background Check was N/A. Requested GCMS notes in October and received them on 23rd Oct, same day received Pre arrival letter and BC status change to your application is in progress we will inform you when your back ground check will start. In GCMS notes one of the notes in February is started with Overview: 47 YR old sponsoring 73 YR old Female (Purported Mother) and then later in the same note it mentioned the documents I provided as proof of relationship to my mother. Note ends with Require: PCC - MED. which we did in March 2018. and Medical passed.
Can you or any member comment on this situation and if I need to be worried about this or I should send some clarification based on this comment?

Someone should ask the officer if he/she hatched out of an egg.

Could you please share your timeline for obtaining CSQ from MIDI.

My undertaking application was received on 20-Sep and I got AOR on 2-Oct and haven't heard anything after that. My deadline to submit CSQ to IRCC is approaching.

Anyone else applied for CSQ and still waiting?

My timeline is as the following:
Invitation to apply: 6 September 2017
Application received in Mississauga: 1 December 2017
Letter of eligibility: 4 April 2018
Quebec kit received by Midi: 16 April 2018
CSQ received: 4 June 2018
& this is my last point. But l was not asked to submit CSQ anywhere...it was mentioned in the letter that Ottawa visa office was already notified at the same time.lt looks like they changed the procedure for the next wave !!!

Hello Members, I have a question about passport validity. My parents got their immigrant visa stamped in August this year at NDVO. Their passport expiry is 28-May-2019 and the visa is also valid until the same date. They are planning to come to Canada in April 2019. So when they come to Canada, their passports will be valid only for a month. My plan was to get it renewed in Toronto after they land, however I have heard that the requirement is that the passport should be valid for minimum 6 months when you travel to Canada. Is that true? Would it cause any problems?

It says background check process has now started, but they havent asked me to upload the PCCs yet. I am worried they are soon going to become outdated now since we got it done 4 months ago.

Actually my parents file is forwarded to NDVO, they asked me to submit CSQ before deadline. Ottawa might be having different procedure. But I will suggest you to submit the copy of CSQ to VO because I read somewhere on forum that CIOC didn't receive any communication from MIDI and application was delayed.

No word from my side, since the medical exam was passed in July 2018. Don't know how much long it will take.
