Parents and Grandparents Sponsorship 2017

Hello all,

I am the 2017 first round PGP applicant. I haven't received any request for PCC/IME yet. It's quite a while since i heard from CIC. My sponsorship was approved in April 2018 but after that no progress.

After reading through the thread, i have decided to upload my parent's PCC in advance, can anybody walk me through how to upload PCC from my cic account using the web form i think. Thanks in advance

Hi All...happy to report got passport request last night... background check started on Aug 7th and received pre-arrival letter on Aug 8th and at night received Ready for Visa email... so happy .... I would like to thanks @YULIA-2016 for updating and keeping all user informed. @YULIA-2016 I also want to wish you all the best and really hope your parents application gets finalized soon... and everyone else all the best and hopefully you all get response very soon..thank you !

Congratulations!!! Did you get any email notification when the background check started?

No email notification... I checked in morning around 9 no changes and then checked again around noon and it said updated on main page and showed processing background check.

if you didn't get PPR or not DM in ecas this Friday night, you can send it, check 2017 spread sheet, how long people get PPR after pre-letter. chek ecase tomorrow morning, probably it changes to DM. Ottawa knew you sent 2 PCCs

Hello, the PR Application Status for my Parents was changed to Decision Made in ecas. What is the next step after that? Do they just ask to submit the passport or there are some additional steps involved? I saw some comments saying pre arrival letter, just want to understand what stage is that?

Passport Request received on August 8. Looking forward to welcome my parents to Canada. This forum has been a great source of help and information. Parents in Law's application is not far behind. Their IME was July 16 so hoping to get some updates soon.
