yes you are right. I should not apply for H&C. i agree with you 100%. thank you

Given that you were told this yesterday and still asked today unfortunately I don’t believe you. Your other siblings have been in Canada for 15 and 20 years which would mean that they had the opportunity to sponsor your parents for years but did not. You aren’t able to apply for PGP yet but could do it next year. They are also not alone and have each other. Assume your siblings are citizens and could also care for your parents in India if they suddenly got ill. You could also pay to have someone shop for them, clean their home and drive them places. These will be strong arguments that will be brought up if you file an H&C case.

Hi guys, someone said here that you can only bring 3 months of meds on a visit visa. I plan on bringing my mother on visit visa and then super visa later on, if she comes over for 6 months to 2 years, how can we make sure that she has her regular meds throughout her stay? I'm already quite puzzled how to schedule her routine 3 monthly visits with a doctor while she comes to Canada as our hometown doctor usually adjusts the various meds according to her recent blood tests. Please advice me what I can do to plan ahead as my mother is the most important factor in my Canadian dream.

Yes it is 90 days of medication. You will have to pay for her medications in Canada and her doctors visit. She will have to return home to get a supervisa. Looks like you are a recent PR. Canada wants you to get established in Canada and can show that you have made LICO on your NOA before your mother can visit.

My Parents are here on visit visa, I do have there medical insurance from Destination Canada (0 deductible). I wanted to submit claim for there medical visits to doctors, like my dad went to see doctor 3 times and had a ultrasound. similarly my mom also visited once.

like in case of auto insurance, the premium jumps up if we make a claim :-(
My worry is, if I submit a claim today, will it increase my insurance premium next year when my parents visit ?

Of course it will.

I would check that your policy covers non-emergency visits. Most do not and you may not be able to claim your parents' expenses.

And yes - if you are able to claim, this will increase your insurance premiums for next time. No different than car insurance.

Like auto insurance, it might increase regardless you make a claim or not. I remembered I can claim for the non emergencies on behalf of my in laws.

Hello Friends,
Can one of you recommend a Supervisa Health Insurance provider?
