Is it possible for her to get a written authorization? Thanks.

Yes. We are aware her status is no different from a tourist who can’t stay longer than 6 months. She is helping to look after the kids while we are settling so hopefully it is deemed non discretionaryIs there a reason your mother needs to travel with you? In general IRCC doesn't want to see that your mother may be attempting to move with you to Canada neither does CBSA at the POE. Assume you are aware that even if your mother gets authorization to travel with you and help you get set up your life in Canada, she can not remain in Canada and she will be only visiting you. I know that some think they will find a for their parent to move with them and that Canada would never deny a parent trying to live with their child.

Thanks everyone for your kind advise. Hopefully I can have some good news to share in the next 2-3 weeks. Finger crossed.
