With CIC opening parent sponsorship as of January 2, 2014, will there be a new application package to prepare and submit the application.

I see there is a new application form for 2013. However, rest of the documents are still from the previous years including the undertaking which still states 10 years instead of 20 years.

In summary, I want to know if current available forms can be used to submit the application or will CIC release new application package before or after Jan 2, 2014?

thanks

You will have to wait for more information regarding the Parent sponsorship. CIC stated that it would be releasing the information in the coming few weeks.

Can you provide link to cic page where they stated that more information will be released in coming weeks?
thanks

Read the article below:
www.cic.gc.ca/english/department/media/releases/2013/2013-10-29.asp

Para 6 states:
More information, new application forms and instruction guides for the redesigned PGP program will be made available in the coming weeks.

Any update on the new parent sponsorship 2014 forms yet?

They will most likely be released early Jan 2014 or late Dec 2013. Just keep checking every week.

As long as you can meet the LICO+30% amounts for 2011, 2012 and 2013, then you would be able to qualify.

From your previous posts though you mentioned you were on mat leave in 2013 so if you didn't meet 2013 minimum income, you will unfortunately not be able to sponsor your parents until 2017 (assuming can meet new income levels for 2014,15,16).

Thanks Rob. I managed to get my spouse to become a co-signer in my parents sponsorship application. So our salaries put together, we meet the NMI+30% requirement now.

Does anyone know where on the CIC site will the new forms be posted? Is it still this page: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/family.asp

Thanks

Correction : 1 week left as christmas to new year will be no work only fun week for them.
Am surprised how one lawyer was so confident that he will get my parents sponser for CAD 3500/- as long as me and my wife satisfies the income matrix. I didn't call him after the initial meeting. CIC call centre is not giving any idea either. Panic...

So I see that the new application forms are still coming for PARENTS to apply but what about our forms as SPONSORS are those still the same?

Sorry if this has already been answered...new to the whole process and just finding it difficult to make head or tail of all the forms!!!

A new set of forms will be posted for both the parents (applicants) and for the sponsors.

There are no forms available at this time that you can start filling out in advance.

Hi,

If someone's mother is already in Canada on supervisa and they want to apply for Parental PR (which is re-opening on Jan 2, 2014) would they apply to Ottawa or to the original local office in this case which is Islamabad.

Thankyou,

I think because she is allowed to live here for more than 1 year, you can pick ottawa but its upto them to grant you that or not. You can confirm with others

New parent and grandparent sponsorship application forms, guide and information on how to apply will be available on December 31, 2013.

All new applications must be completed using the new forms.

No new applications will be accepted for processing before the program re-opens on January 2, 2014.

To allow for the counting of the cap in a fair and equitable manner, applications must be individually packaged and delivered to CIC's Case Processing Centre in Mississauga, Ontario exclusively by mail or by courier only.

Fee payment to the Receiver General for Canada will be accepted on or after January 2, 2014 by credit card or certified cheque only.

Please read the frequently asked questions in the Help Centre.
