New parent and grandparent sponsorship application forms, guide and information on how to apply will be available on December 31, 2013.

All new applications must be completed using the new forms.

No new applications will be accepted for processing before the program re-opens on January 2, 2014.

To allow for the counting of the cap in a fair and equitable manner, applications must be individually packaged and delivered to CIC's Case Processing Centre in Mississauga, Ontario exclusively by mail or by courier only.

Fee payment to the Receiver General for Canada will be accepted on or after January 2, 2014 by credit card or certified cheque only.

Please read the frequently asked questions in the Help Centre.

How are you supposed to pay by credit card other than online? The same FAQ you are pointing at says "Fees that are paid in any other manner (example: on-line payments, HPMB receipt, money orders) will not be accepted"

Is there any other way to pay by credit card? (Other than using the online payment platform)

CIC website contains following statement:-

To allow for the counting of the cap in a fair and equitable manner, applications must be individually packaged and delivered to CIC's Case Processing Centre in Mississauga, Ontario exclusively by mail or by courier only.

If we apply for both parents, are they asking for 2 separate applications individually packed and delivered?

Kindly confirm.

Thanks,
Inder

No - if you are sponsoring your parents - this is done through one application with one parent as the principal applicant and the other as a dependent.

The above refers to bundling separate applications for separate families together. What CIC is staying is that if you're a consultant who is processing applications for many families, you can't send all of the applications together in one bundle. They have to be mailed separately.

Dear all,

I am preparing for the documents for sponsoring my parents and I have arranged the following docs so far. Can anybody please comment / advise if I have missed anything.

Documents required (parents)

• 4 pp size photographs each
• Passport photocopy
• Birth certificates (for both)
• Marriage certificate
• Aadhar card / votors id card (for both)

Documents required (me and my wife)

• Citizenship card / PR card photocopy
• Birth certificates (me only)
• Marriage certificate
• Passport photocopy
• NOA for 2010, 2011 and 2012
• Letter of employment (both)
• Pay stubs for the year 2013

Other Documents

• Fees receipt
• All relevant forms (updated on 31st December)

Questions :

Do I need to send the attested photocopies of the documents or non attested would work as well?
Should I prepare a cover letter explaining missing 2013 NOA (obvious reason)?
Medicals and Police clearance certificate will be needed later. Am I right on this?

thanks in advance.

See earlier posts (i.e. those above yours in this thread).

there is something new on the website but still not working. under 'forms and guides', sponsor your family (from inside canada) they have a parents and grandparents category labelled 'new'. but it still takes you to 'web page not found - error 404' - just like the old one.

If you are going to sponsor parents or grandparents, you are going to have to learn to be patient. Now would be a good time to start...

I don't have birth certificate. Does the Passport copy declared as proof of relationship with my mother?
