Can someone tell what are the next steps after we submit our passport to VAC, I mean what sort of emails, status updates or messages do we normally get from CIC incase of an online application.

unfortunately u r late for jan 2015 intake. ask ur university to give u the acceptance letter for the next session

A study permit procedures can take some time to finalize, it is recommended that the complete application is submitted 2 -3 months before the start of classes and no later than 1 month before the start of classes. Check link below.

It is taking them around 16 weeks now a days.....

I got a call in exactly 15 weeks.....

sry fr late reply, Answer to ur previously asked question: i applied on 20th july i emailed them on 29th aug fr updates & they sent me the same reply as urs then on 10th september i got my refusal, it was very disappointing as my application was strong.

yes i have been inquired to the embassy through email in august 20 and there reply comes

146 days man .. how you hold up for that long :O they should grant you a visa for your patience ..... for me its been more thn 90 days and still waiting i have a job offer letter from Turkey and i am stuck with my PP here no way out ....
