Hello All
I need an advice for my cousin living in Africa. He has only done his Bachelor in Commerce in 2008 and since than is working in different capacities. Now he wanted to apply for student visa in Canada. He has his sisters there who are citizens. I inquired from 2 consultants but they said that as he hasn't done 4 years of bachelor and it's been 7 years that he is not in touch with studies so he has minimal chance. I need suggestion from group members to help him out with the best possible option.
Please guide.

Hello guys.
I hope everybody is fine.
Is anyone of you going to vancouver?

anyone who has applied in september and got his visa?

Guys, I received a refusal letter today :'( Didn't know CIC operated on Sundays too.

The reason is "family ties in Canada and country of residence". I have one younger brother in university and my mother who is widowed, in Pakistan. My father passed away 4 years ago. I have no family in Canada.

In my SOP I mentioned that my small family needs me back in Pakistan. I also attached references from my existing employer. Why would they think that I wouldn't leave at the end of my stay?

If there anything I can do to offer a rebuttal to their concerns? The letter says I must reapply with new processing fees.

I applied online on Oct 11th for the Jan 16 intake. Medical hadn't been requested yet. Applied for a Post-Graduate Certificate in Health Informatics at George Brown College. I am a dentist by qualification.

I plan on reapplying rightaway. Does anyone know if I'll have to pay Biometrics again, or whether CIC will reimburse me for it? Any other ideas to bolster my application?

Hi,
i've heard from my consultant that two the students from karachi pakistan have got their visa approved without giving medical exam.He also told me that the policy of CIC has changed and now they are issuing visa to many students without medicals. Can someone here shed some light onto this topic?

As I have read on the canadian site if you are going to canada for 6 months or less than you dont require medical and if you r planning to stay their for more than 6 months then it is compulsory for you to take the medical. If this rule has been changed then they should have to update this on their site by the way on which date you had applied for the visa?
