In that case, there are still chances. VO may say that your parents may allow you to stay there for long because your sis is there...

You can simply say that "I had few countries in my mind to study abroad but I preferred to study in Canada, as my sister is a resident of Canada. It is great to have someone of your own at your back. Since I have shared this idea with her, she has also offered me financial support during my study................................................"

@ SH - At this rate we won't even make it to the Jan sessions. Cant believe people haven't even got back their passports.. Insane!

no update. for me it is more than a month. as passport was submitted on 13th aug.
