I don't understand what taking them so long to decide may be this week would bring some hope. My registration date is drawing near
Umm.. Thousands of applications? Pandemic? Closures? Limited staff? The fact that the pandemic is on going?

Their fault for sitting at home for months and doing nothing when they could've been working remotely (like the rest of the world) and that way applications wouldn't have piled up

It's not like they can pick up the laptop and start to work from home like any other desk job. This is a sensitive process which requires secured access. If it was not in place pre-covid then there is no way they could have set this up with in a month. It requires in-office / secured processing no matter what. Though some of the processes now must be happening from home but not everything.

Which program did you apply for and when if you don't mind??
But he wrote' not yet' in answer to my question that when did you get your AIP.
Still if it's so as you quoted, it's a great job that he's doing otherwise people don't like to reply back after leaving from here.

It's for my family member. Received AIP in email on 3rd Sept, error notification on 8th, documents request on 10th. Still in process.

Please stop making excuses for them .... entire multinational companies are working from home. Visa processing is really not that complicated because all the documents can be sent and received online and specially for sds, everything needed to process is already there. They could have easily set up that process after covid if they wanted to. They've thrown every international student under the bus. They should be extremely embarrassed about the way they have handled this. Basic statements they made, like processing complete apps first, and complete apps not having to go through the AIP process, they are not even following those. And now they follow it up with these Error messages about AIP's and after that error messages about sending a passport request.
