Salam and Ramadan Kareem to everyone,

My name is Shoaib and I am living in Abu Dhabi. I have applied for Canadian immigration. I sent my initial docs to Nova Scotia and got approval to send my docs to London office on 26th May 2010. Right now I am compiling my docs. I have applied under 0711 Construction Manager category. Please add me on this thread.

Few queries:

1. Pakistani who are residing overseas, are they required to send their Original Nikah Nama with wedding pictures?
2. I am really confused about this AOR 1 & 2. I really don't know whether I have received these or not!!! I got a file number on 26th May starting with B23423. And also please help me how to check your application status. I tried a month back but there were no records.
3. Translation of the documents: Do we have to dispatch original translation or they can consider the notarized copy of translation.

My 120 days will elapse on 20 Sept. I reckon that I will submit my docs package on 28th Aug. So any last tips from the seniors. Please do share with us!!

Yes this applies to all Pakistani Citizens regardless of there residing country.

What you have received on 26th May is your 1st AOR and you can use that file number on the CIC website to check your status. Once you send your full docs then you will receive 2nd AOR and sometime they give new file number to check online status

Originals will be better i have sent all the originals as its already a translation so its better to send originals.

Hi,

I have heard that once it changed to "Rec Visa Office" you should expect AOR In next few days but its London office cant say anything for sure. But from your time line i see you submitted your full docs on 9th June and status changed on 17th August so your AOR will be on the way and it will come by post like a regular mail so keep an eye on it.

Police certificate in pakistan shows the last resding address & stay duration.

In pakistan, my wife stayed at my home only for a week and then we travelled to dubai

In this case, what would be the last residing address for my wife? is it my home in pakistan or her orginal house which is located in a different part of city and where she had lived for 18 years?
