Well dear if you are coming to Toronto its even hard to find a survival job. Options for you are security guard, at gas station, in call center or in a factory etc. I am getting paid $15 per hour. Security job is kind a easy but it pays $11 per hour in start. Call center also same you will get around $11-$12. But make sure even for these jobs you will have to compete with many people. A good resume and test / interview is required. For security you will need first 40 hours training from an academy then pass first aid/CPR test then pass ministry exam to get license..

You can apply for OSAP as soon as you have offer of admission from a university or college so first wait for offer then apply for OSAP. OSAP can be applied online. I know Seneca college. Its ok and near to place where I live. One condition for OSAP is you have to be living in Ontario continuosly since you have landed so make sure to stay in Ontario after you land..

I'm getting worried after your post as I'm initially planning to land in Oct this year & move back to Pakistan to continue my job assignment. Will move for good in JUne next year & then has plan to join Durham College "Chemical Eng. Diploma", 1 y, fast track program commencing in Sep 2014.

So, in this scenario, will I be still eligible for OSAP or not?

THX for replying.at the time of interview visa officer did't confirm me , that i have qualified interview,shetook my original graduation degree & mark sheet for verification .its around 4.5 months no response.

Based on my personal experience it doesnt really matter what is being reflected/show on ecas. I got the PPR1 and PPR2 i,e, have the visa to land in Canada for myself and the family. The only update on ecas after receving VISA is Decision Made. They never mentioned anything pertaining to medical examinations or ever when they asked for various updates. Ill suggest you to sit calm and hopefully things would turn out the way you expect them. Best for the future.
