Hi i am waiting for step 2. i recieved step 1 request on 29 Oct they recieved docs on 1st Nov. upon my enquiry they are now telling that i will receive an email from their office in the New Year regarding the next step in processing for my application.
my question is how long they will take for sending step 2 instructions.
further what complications arises due to addition of family member during this time, i mean before getting my visa stamped.
in step 1 email they mentioned the expiry date of my visa as well. what does that mean is my immigration confirmed??
all: please help me

My very best wishes are with the rest who are still waiting.
Hopefully I will get the passports back with the visa next week?

I finally received PPR1 today (12 Nov) !!!!

amh, please update my info. Also My correct VO is also JMR. I think PTM was the VO for medical only. My prayers go to Samsung94 and SLEO. Hope you guys get it soon as well.

Alhamdulillah, ive received ppr2 this weekend. Thanks to all forum members and best wishes for early completion of processing. I have few childish questions at this stage , pls help me im really confused
1. Can i just make an entry and come back within a week after issuance of visa. If yes how to re enter again in canada without pr.
2. We are expecting addition in the family and expected date is mid of next month what will be the case of newborn? If visas are issued before birth can we land there at this stage? Im really confused.
3. What if wife and children couldnt land within validity of visa can it be extended due to this genuine reason
4. Is it compulsory for children under 7 to make an entry
5. Can i land anywhere or at declared p.o.e.
6. Can i take euros and usd as proof of funds instead of cad and are these currencies are accepted in markets airport etc.

Please do answer as i dont know what to do when it seem to be so near

Yes You can land and come back in a week or two weeks time. i am doing the same. If you give them a mailing address (your relative or frd in canada) then they will post your PR card on that address and then they can send it to you in PK. If for some reason God forbid PR card does not arrive you will have to get a travel document from Canadian embassy in Pakistan for each family member by paying a 50$ fee.

2. They wont mind as long as your wife can travel within the visa validity period. But many airlines do not allow pregnant ladies to travel when they are in their last trimester.

3. That would mean that they have to start from scratch, you should have informed the VO about expected kid at PPR1 stage. in my humble opinion if for some reason your wife can not travel before delivery then you should land after delivery without new born and come back to Pakistan after landing and then when you have returned to Pakistan you should inform the embassay that you have a newborn kid, so you should not get a birth certificate now, you should get one when you have returned back with those dates.

4. It is msut for everyone to make an entry before the visa expiry date.

5. you can enter at any POE, but if you land in Qubic then it could be a little problematic.

6. You can take proof of funds in any form. Most of the time they won't even ask you to show POF. They only ask you if you are carrying in excess of 10 thousand dollars. I had only 3600 CAD when I landed, he asked me how much money both of you have, we told 1800 each. He didn't even ask about rest of the POF. We had bank statements, which would have been fine even if he had checked.
