Im still waiting for ppr1 after over 8 months of medicals.....
Did. verythong....shown patience...shooting csi...getting dis heart when people ask..isnay canada nai jana...offering namaz....crying in prayers.....

Take it easy. I can understand your situation but I am also confident you will be celebrating it next week with full joy when you get PPR1. You can see the recent trend, its moving very fast these days, London visa office. I was in similar situation like you and I thought at one point its not going to happen. Would you believe and please trust me I was thinking the whole time about this immigration thing and it was on my nerves and I kept sending them enquiries every month and the answer was same all the times, file is awaiting review by an officer. Then at last I just thought for the first time beleive me for the frst time, what the hell, this is not end of world and I just don't care about Canada or immigration and I am well off without it and I sent them a one liner email, just one liner with no courtesy or respect, like the way they also reply to us some times and would you believe the next day I got medical request. Lolz..Trust me, I laughed what the heck...When I was so much concentrating and thinking and worrying about it, nothing happened and the moment i just took my mind off I got medical request and the next day he/she also replied to my email that they had already sent medical request which I received that day.

So my friend in my opinion just take your mind off from it for some time and let's leave it and you will get PPR1 insha Allah. And don't listen to people what they saying "isnay canada nahee jana" and don't tell people that you have applied for immigration.

You are in my prayers and insha Allah very soon you will get PPR1 according to recent trend probably next week and don't be depressed and sad and feel down my friend. Insha Allah Allah will help you and all the best and be happy and we will celebrate it together next week when you will get PPR1...With regards...

Yaar.. what to say. aadmi ko dukh hoga to woh ofcourse dukhi hogaa.. log kehtey rahengay k dont worry, everything will be alright but i know these words dont matter in this situation.

I wont say this to you, but I must say one thing.. now when i compare this time (since i am in Canada, applying for various things, searching for a good job, settling myself in much smaller residence compare in Pakistan etc) to that tough WAITING period, believe me it was nothing. Whatever time you are passing with your close relatives is very precious.

Also, utilize this time by preparing yourself for here. Make your mind what you wanna do when you land here, either further studies OR job search. If you want to search job 1st, learn the Canadian job market, their demands. Make CVs which will capture employers attention quickly. (I made 6 OR 7 Resume for different companies)

Further Studies are your target then check with SAIT OR Columbia college about their courses. As I am here in Calgary, will be applying in University of Calgary for Masters inshahAllah.

Also, Prepare yourself for Knowledge test online (1st stage driving test for Drivers class 7).

I really miss that time, when i was waiting for the visa in Pakistan and didnt do much.

Ask whatever you want to, I will try to help you in every way brother. Dont lose hope.

I totally agree with you bro......but theres just one thing.....i know where you're coming from and what you're saying......waiting for MR/PPR was much easier for you than looking for a job, trying to settle down, managing finances initially (as dollar is huge compared to rupee).....but ive been in this situation once when i was in UK for my studies so I can relate a bit......

everyone gets home sick and when you face the new environment, even the biggest of tensions that you faced at home seems small, reason being that back home you were in a secured envionment (by secure i mean surrounded by your family & friends)

But look at it in this way, even though you must be facing a lot of hardships in the new land......look at the bright side.....you're not hanging in the limbo anymore (like us who are waiting).....you're finally at your destination and all your efforts are now "focused".....you will get the ball rolling one day (soon InshAllah), find a good job and house and eventually get settled....

The worst part during the waiting period is that atleast for me, Im not planning long term here, ive squeezed my expensis, doing short term planning, afraid to raise my living standard (which i can Alhamdullilah but it will cost me and i dont want to spend extra money on my living anymore, trying to save up you know).....

But you're right, there are pros and cons of everything, its just a matter of finding your destination for yourself and then live off it, live it fully......my prayers are for you ......and seriously I would like to Thank you for offering help to people like us who will be joining you there soon InshAllah....

On my ECAS the address has not been changed to Canadian Address. But before many applicants have got this Canadian address on their ECas after PPR-1 or PPR-2. Is it normal??
