Dear all,

Today I received our confirmed tickets for Mar 20. Although it is very early (before visa stamping) to book but the reason is the earlier you book the lower you will have to pay. And in case of any issue in visa stamping (Khuda na Khwasta) then tickets can be refunded for a meager cost on account of Cancellation charges i.e. 6,000 per tickets as per my travel agent. I used the route Karachi - Dubai - London (Emirates) & London Calgary (American Airways). These cost me around Rs. 75,700/- per adult. For persons going to destinations other then Toronto / Montreal, I will suggest not to have a stop over at Toronto / Montreal because in that case you have to do your immigration formalities at there. For people going to Toronto, I think Turkish is a very good option while for others, Emirates is the best option. Its my opinion.......

but isn,t there is a risk of baggage loss during transit in istanbul . ppl take PIA as its direct and no worries of baggage .can u share the fares if u ve done any research .turkish lair lines planes are also like PIA.no good standard and we dont know about their service .

PIA has also lost my baggage once. Moreover PIA flights are in pathetic conditions and never fly on time. See recent Hajj flights. Same as everywhere in the world. Don't know about turkish airline.

I am also planning for Turkish Airline, for first week of Feb... PIA is bit expensive than Turkish.... I am taking 2 adult and 2 children for 265000/- (all 4 tkts) and also upgrading it to comfort in which Karachi-Istanbul will be Economy and Istanbul-Toronto will be Comfort Class (above economy but below business). and with additional cost its totals to 298,000.- (for all four tkts) whereas PIA is for economy only for 302,000.- (compare to 265,000 in TK). Transit is for 4 hours which is good to connect next flight conveniently and not too long to get bored. Specially with kids (who are traveling first time by air, age of 4 & 7) may not bear a long flight of 16+ hours, so Turkish is good in that case that Karachi-Istanbul is 6 hours and Istanbul-Toronto is 10 hours and the flight from Karachi is on Saturday morning reaching on Saturday evening, so convenient for the host at other end. By the way Turkish Airlines got Best Airlines Award in Europe for 2012. If we take any airline of Qatar or Emirates than there will be same transit of airlines but the second leg will be of 16 hours, so there is no good sense in taking transit even with long flights. So guys please suggest if you have any better options, but PIA is not the choice, can not explain why but no.
