Hello there!

Can anyone help me know how much is the fee to be paid for get ECA from WES? and also what are the payment process/methods from Pakistan other then the credit card.

Secondly what are the courier charges for each envelope from Pakistan? which courier should i opt for?

Because I need to get ECA for both myself and my wife, so i guess i will be sending 5 or 6 separate envelopes. That will cost me too much in form of courier charges.

Thanks in advance.

To pay WES fees http://www.wes.org/ca/eca/fees/

You can pay with your debit card (ATM card) ask the procedure from your bank's help line. (I paid with ATM card)

Courier charges .... you can call TCS or DHL for updated price. I sent through DHL. I think TCS has discounted rates for student packages e.g documents in university or HEC envelops or boards envelops. call them ask about it.

Yes you need to send separate envelops.

hello everybody, first of all i would like to thank for the unconditional support you guys are giving on this forum especially people like Alee667. i have few question and will be very thankful if anybody can clear my quires

1. i am going to apply for ITA soon as main applicant. i have three kids under age of 10 and my hubby will be included in my application. now i only have a salary account which was opened last month in April. before that my employer gave me salary in cash as he is my uncle and we had a mutual agreement for this arrangement. now he is transferring my salary from the last month in my salary account. he is willing to give me experience latter of last five years in which i served as financial accountant in his company. my first question is regarding the experience letter( although its not related to this thread). would it be sufficient to provide just experience letter from an employer as proof of job or i have to provide salary slips too?

only experience letter is enough which should have job description, annual total salary, number of hours per week, job start date

Risky situation and I disagree with the advice above. This is the most common scenario in which CIC might doubt the credibility of experience. Here is the response some one recently got from CIC india in a similar situation.

"Regarding work experience with family firms; this type of employment experience is one of the more difficult to assess in the India context, especially if the business is relatively small and therefore has no independent accounting department or human resources management. Verifiable supporting materials from an independent third party will strengthen the application, for example salary deductions toward pension contributions, government issued taxation documents, or detailed banking statements can help to avoid reliance on self-serving employer references and testimonials signed by close family, friends and colleagues."

Following is the complete thread.
http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/how-to-prove-work-experience-in-family-owned-company-t412381.0.html;msg5228235#msg5228235

My advice to the original poster - Either choose to follow above instructions - i.e. attach as much evidence as possible - pay stubs, other proof of job / interactions etc and get it assessed by an independent 3rd party.

The other option, pick your spouse as the principal applicant assuming he was not also working for a relative and has more formal documents to prove his job.

If you don't do above - it might work out if the visa officer does not note that the employer was a family relative. If they do, they might doubt and prone more, possibly causing complications.

You may check here (https://www.celpiptest.ca/), if they are offering test in Pakistan. Otherwise IELTS (G) is also acceptable.

And it is good that, if your husband attempt language test, it will increase your score.

As of now, CELPIP is offered and assessed in Canada only. The website will only list Canadian provinces as optional locations. It is not offered in ANY other country, let alone Pakistan.

Though they have plans to extend it - but it will take a while. So IELTS is the only exam all applicants from outside of Canada take.

From test's perspective IELTS just takes longer time commitment to take (i.e. listening and speaking have to be done separately) where as CELPIP is totally in a single stretch of 3.5 hrs - all computer based.

However, its more risky and prone to errors / (some says scores are more strict) because of computer based assessment, in particular for speaking section.

Thanks for reply..please also tell me as spouse if i give ielts and gets 6 in each then is my wife as main application be eligable for express entry.

Around 330 CAD. Credit card is better option.

You can send them in 2 envelopes. One for you and one for your spouse having WES reference number on each envelope. Use DHL otherwise OCS as they have some sort of sharing agreement with DHL. OCS will cost you around 3K per envelope

Thanks in advance.

No - every principal applicant needs to take language test and score bare minimum points to even submit profile. So your spouse needs to take test and score 6 at least (depending upon NOC).

You taking the test and scoring would only affect the language test points (around 10 out of 50 or so points assigned to spouse of principal applicant). These points would weight in whether you guys score high enough to get ITA or not.

Hi Guys,

I had a quick question for those who submitted their passports to the embassy in Islamabad through VFS and have gotten it back with COPR.
How long does it normally take to get the passport back.

If you had the sms services activated can you please take me through the series of SMSs throughout the period your passport was away.

Is it possible to get the passport early if I need to travel?

Any support will be greatly appreciated

WES or CES. They both have the sames criteria for getting your canadian equivalence. Go for WES. I dont think you would be getting a huge edge in the points, since the CRS is quite high these days. Bachelors people cannot make up to the CRS cut off level.

Go for WES
