For people from Pakistan.

I want to review my passport for which expiry date is 7 sept 2016 i.e. 6 months 19 days left to expire. Please guide me will Passport Offices in Karachi will entertain my renewal request? I have heard they wont review unless validity is less than 6 months. any one experienced my situation before?

Should be doable. You might have to explain why, but they should accept. There is no issue in the actual passport system preventing this. I have done it with more than 7 month validity and I know of others with even a year or more left, renewing it. However, those who did it in Pakistan usually were people with references (but I don't know if they actually needed those in this case or not) or my personal renewal experience is from Pakistani embassy in Toronto.

Great. So here is an example and there shouldn't be any problem.

Dear Akbar, can you guide me for the process and which city did you get it renewed from brother. I heard they need some written statement; if we want to get our passport renewed before its expiry date? can you explain me about this as well.

Thank you so much fkl and akbaransari for prompt response :D may Allah bless u and everybody Ameen

Getting renewal of passport is basic right and no reference is required. I got my passport renewed last week as existing is expiring in Nov 16. Just pay the required fee and go to passport office and follow normal procedures.

Read the earlier posts first. I was not talking about rights of renewing passport. The question was about renewing passport more than 6 months before expiry, which is not a very standard case. So at least you need to explain why are you basically trying to get it renewed much sooner. Moreover, some embassies of Pakistan all over the world (and even embassies of some other countries) put conditions like "we would only renew passport if there is x months left in its validity." The primary concern was overriding that, which as a few people mentioned here - were able to do without any issues.

You are most welcome.

Hopefully you should hear back in the next two months.

I haven't seen outland applications from Pakistan processed any faster (than the standard 6 months time) nor are they CEC. So likely some time April. Of course (and I hope) you could get lucky and get it done sooner. But there is no way to predict that.

But I would say this, at least it is through with basic hurdles causing refusal. That time is passed. So I at least expect an R10 okay on your notes. A11 or similar, only time will tell.

Good luck

My friend, thank you once again for your expert opinion. I have ordered GCMS this weekend, hoping to receive them in next 42 days. Will be sharing the insights on my case soon.

I am happy that the time for rejection due to basic regulations such as r10/11 is passed now. I am worried about my medical actually. Because I am a VSD treated case and i submitted echo&ecg reports along with doctors analysis (positive as far as I predict as I got my self separately checked up by doctors in Liaquat National Hospital and forwarded the same reports to doctors in Jinnah Cardio Hospital and Dow Medical Hospital)

Every Cardio doctor was of the view that i possess no threat on health and future medication. I think the major delay for me is because PNP cases for Pakistanis are not processed early like others and they'll (LVO) will consume whole 6 months. I hope they issue PPR in the end my friend.. :D

If you have seen medicals as passed in your mycic, then this concern shouldn't be there. If it's not, then any thing I said could be just an opinion - nothing more.

Friend, thats the point of concern for me, my medical isnt passed yet and it's reviewed since 20th november. Just to confirm this, I have ordered GCMS last week. I hope they have passed it in notes :) fingers crossed.

Thanks for your opinion brother :)

I have got my passport renewal and my case is with CIC now. E-APR on 26th Jan 2016. Please advise how to update new passport details to CIC. As I expect that background check is about to start as medicals are already passed and schedule 4/4A submitted.
