The important point that I am trying to hint at is that you only need to get ECA done for the degree that you are claiming points for.

For example if you have done an MBA and want to claim points for a Masters degree then you only send your Masters degree to WES. You don't have to send your bachelors degree or intermediate marksheets. You don't have to get all prior degrees/marksheets certified. You just need the degree that you are claiming points for.

Does that make it clear?
Thanks for making it clear. Well In case I claim points for O/A Level.
Then what's the method for attestation keeping the criteria shared by WES in mind?

Ok, my bad, I thought you were going to claim points for a higher degree but get all the prior qualifications certified as well :p.

I am not exactly sure about O/A levels, unfortunately but I am guessing that it will have to be similar to the process for matric/inter just that you might have to go through the British Council in this case.

"Super Confused - Need Help"

I have 2 yrs Bachelor's degree followed by 2 yrs MBA (16 years education). To get a better CRS score, I am in dire need to get a Master's equivalence. WES is not an option as chances of getting master's equivalence are bleak. For ECA through IQAS/CES, I am in a quandary whether to send my bachelor's degree with MBA (75 Credit Hrs From IBA Punjab Uni) or not. My mind is pushing me to send only MBA degree while 2 consultants have advised to send Bachelor's degree as well, without mentioning any specific reason for the same. Whereas another consultant has advised against sending bachelor's degree.

Do any of you see any harm in sending/not sending bachelor's degree?
Which option would have better chances of getting master's equivalence (I know, no one except IQAS/CES can decide that, but still need your opinion)

Don't you think sending both degrees would make it obvious that I have 16 yrs education which could deny me a master's equivalence?

Plz Help, I will proceed with HEC attestation and IQAS/CES fee in light of your comments.

Furthermore, which one should i choose, CES or IQAS.

Additionally, a Canadian consultant told me that owing to COVID situation, CES isn't asking for hard copies of transcripts / degrees through courier and that we just need to upload HEC attested transcripts / degrees. Is it right? (Have emailed CES about the same & awaiting their response).

Send only the degree for which you want to claim points i.e. the Masters degree. You don't have to send your bachelors degree. This will increase your chances of getting points for Masters equivalence as well along with being the correct procedure for claiming points.

I think ICES or WES or whichever agency you send your degree to will likely do their own research and then give their verdict. The verdict will be whether they consider it equivalent to a Canadian Masters or not. I do think they will consider you as equivalent to a Canadian bachelors but you will definitely increase your chances of being evaluated as equivalent to Canadian Masters if you only send your Masters degree.

I would recommend only to send your Masters degree since that is what you want to claim points for.

IQAS is 3-4 weeks maximum and they evaluate all degrees. Yes you need to send photocopies of secondary and b comm and masters but master and bachelor degree should be in sealed envelop.

you have to post by yourself.
suppose i have BS and Masters from UCP, so for IQAS i need to send both degrees after HEC attestation, how about metric and inter, do i need to get these 2 attested by IBCC or not required?

Hi everyone, just a quick question.

I have 2 years Bachelors of Arts ( Punjab University)
I have 2 years MSC (Punjab University)
I have one year Level 7 diploma from a UK institute

Will my 2 year Bachelors and 2 yar MSc be considered as 3 year bachelor in Canadian equivalent WES and one year diploma as one year diploma making me eligible for 2 or more degrees with one degree as 3 year bachelors in CRA score ?

I appreciate anyone with some experience in this.

I am not sure but I believe your 2 year BSc and 2 year MSc will make it equivalent to 4 year bachelors in Canada. I can't be sure but i think i read it somewhere.

Yes! its highly likely be considered as 4 years undergrad. My friend got b.com 2 years + MSC econ. 2 years as equivalent to 4 years Canadian Bachelors degree

Hi there!

Any pakistani folks in Canada..... or anyone else,.... please see this through. Thank you
I have a degree in CS another undergrad, do I need to get a license to work in Canada as a software engineer, developer, or any other related tech role?
Guys I am confused about regulated professions in IT and TECH in Canada.
are IT jobs regulated in Canada? To be specific software engineers. I have a CS degree in undergrad, I have other qualifications non IT related. I am in limbo if IT-related jobs are regulated. I am not an Engineer and it would be difficult to get a P.Eng license based on education.
Any information and advice could be grateful.

Does it mean that is there any license or certificate required to practice software engineering? any sort of regulatory requirement after getting there in pursuing IT career. Folks there in the tech sector could shed more light on it.
Does anyone have experience regarding that?
And If there are ANY requirements can someone explore related IT and TECH career options as a developer?

Please ease my concern

As far as I know software developer jobs are not regulated in Canada. In fact IT folks are one of the few professionals who have a lot of openings here (at least in the GTA) and don't run into the great "Canadian experience" shield.
