no bro as you can read in this forum indians are getting their permit within the time that shows in cic website which is 5 weeks. its the same with pakistan application as well.

For indians, the processing time has been 5-6 weeks since ages. For us the processing time has been cut down from 13 weeks to 3 weeks. There is a difference.

Its not @hussainkestrel is right there is no way rhey can run background checks in the 3 weeks timeframe

We indians are getting results (acceptance or rejection) by vac in less than 20 days.

For indians its different the Canadian Embassy in India deals with visas of their citizens. For us its the Abu Dhabi Embassy so its totally different. If our CHC handled visa it would have been faster as the background checks would have been run by themselves but Abu Dhabi Embassy has to hire outside agencies thats what takes time. The processing time is three weeks bcs a great percentage of applications were rejected last week, that means no background checks took place in the last week

First of all I am talking about student visa only, second you probably don't know about tie up between Canadian government and Indian government, formed an association called SPP for only students who are willing to pursue their higher studies in Canada. It just takes 10 working days for the process, transit time excluded.

I do know about the student partner program but diplomatic associations like this is only there bcs the Canadian high commissions in india handles visa applications for indians. Tbh India is actually on really good terms with Canada and Pakistan is comparatively not that makes the whole process a lot easier for indians

Its actually not but sometimes it happens like I made a mistake of not paying the correct fee but then cic had issues with biometrics and that took a month too so yeah

As soon as your processing time exceeds try to contact with Abu Dhabi embassy it's stupid to keep on waiting for weeks and not sending and email. I already email them yesterday to look into my file because it's already 8 weeks and I didn't had a medical yet
